Manny Diaz - Duke Postgame Press Conference

Wow!!! Just wow! How does he sit there and say that he was proud of there effort? This **** has lost his mind. The entire team, staff, all the way down to the ******* football boys sucked. This team needs to be gutted and it’ll be a Christmas miracle if these top recruits don’t bail on this staff.

Lol at trying to turn this season into anything positive. Was a complete failure at every level.

I don’t know if he’s obligated to do these pressers but he should just plead the fifth at this point.

I almost feel bad for him, but then I remember he’s making $259,000 a MONTH!
and lost to a 5-5 FIU, 2-10 GT and 4-7 Duke.
He made close to $200,000 over the last two weeks. Think about how insane that is!!! How does he still have a job? We

Defenses these days cannot nor should they be expected to hold every team under 20 points every single game. Not even the most talented & well coached defenses are able to do that anymore with today's offensive systems and the game rules heavily in favor of the offense. See LSU, Alabama, OSU.

At the end of the day the defense hasn't been completely lights out in every game but aside from a few bad plays they've kept us in position to win every single game. Time after time the offense puts the defense in bad situations because of their ineptitude. Today's offenses have to actually score at least 28 points every game (Not just average 28 ppg) to have a reasonable chance to win.

IMO i don't think Baker and the defensive coaches are perfect but they've put together a top 25 defense again in most every important defensive category. Maybe shuffle some responsibilities around but that's good enough to win the Coastal at least. Noone should be fired on that side.

The O on the other hand is literally in the bottom third of the ncaa in almost every important offensive category, dead last in 3rd downs. That's unacceptable. I don't know what changes if any that Manny will make but you can hear it in his voice & demeanor that he's going to shake it up as he should.

Pakte- needs to go
Baker- should not be a DC, he needs to go or be demoted
Banda- definitely needs to go
Rumph- if he can't coach S and CB at a quality level then he needs to go as well
Stroud- demoted to analyst, what he was originally brought in for
Penos- I should not have to say anything
Barry- OL seem to improve a little but then completely looked discombobulated after a couple injuries. I do not think he deserves to be fired but if Enos goes then why not him as well.
Fields- people say he is good at recruiting, but how has he helped UM in that department? Pretty sure he is a wasted space, if so he should go.
Stubbs- has to go
Hicks- literally the only guy on staff I would keep.

Anyone notice his voice pitching higher than usual? Means the denial mechanism at work. Denial is the single most self-destructive force of any progress. Lost the count on twitches.
