Manny Diaz Coaching Reality

This is his reality

TNM?!?

However, that's the same old story―one that hasn't changed for a decade. And in 2019, we're watching the same old Miami.

And with this admin it won’t happen
I know most of us are ****ed and depressed, but this is not an impossible fix. These BOT ******** have gotten away with their neglect for 15 years. my sense is that the next rock bottom that will cast Diaz and flake out of here will be our turning point. If they do the same thing again then we will know that the Miami Football we knew and loved will be dead for good.

you pay enough, it doesnt matter. if youre offering enos type salary for coordinators, youll get guys to come.
I would love to coach after these morons as long as they didn't run all the good players out....you'd look great after turning the team around by just being halfway competent

That's the biggest problem you face when you hire a first time head coach with no experience, no street creed and no solid grounds to stand on. Inability to find and hire excellent assistant coaches.

Like mentioned before even if Manny keeps his job and cleans house, say fires everyone, who in the **** is be going to convince to come and become assistants?? He would have just had a Terrible year, no coaching tree (outside of guys he already employees).

Either way this could be disastrous

Well, the only he was going to succeed at the highest level was with the Ed Orgeron / Dabo Swinney plan.

Sure, Ed was a head coach before, but L$U knew with him at the helm, there could be no bargain basement route with assistants and they spent hefty. Similarly, while L$U loved having "one of their own"...a true blue Cajun...at the helm, we had "a son of Miami" coming home to fulfill a dream. How do you help him do that?

Hand him the big checkbook to go after the likes of Taylor Stubblefield and Blake Baker to complement Patke & Co.

Ohhh, and your OL has continued to struggle year after year? You have to make a big splash there, you HAVE to....so you after the Tampa Bucs OL coach? AWESOME!!!...oh wait...your telling me it wasn't? Assistant OL Coach? Well, that's just as good...right?

All sarcasm aside, maybe Butch Barry and the rest of this crew work out great, but honestly, it is hard for me to see this product on the field and think these guys aren't way in over their heads.

It's a "culture" thing says Manny. Maybe....but you have been an integral part of this very culture since Richt came on board.

We paid Diaz one mill for DC and I guarantee it’s around the same if not more for Enos. There are much better coordinators than we have getting paid less
Enos is a QB coach. That what he should be, and be paid accordingly next year if he survives.

Yep. This is your classic lame duck scenario. I suppose he can scapegoat enos and luck into a good OC much like Helton did. But even this is unlikely bc Shanny is a much more lameduck coach - who is going to want to work for him?

can you imagine if he gets rid of enos/Barry/Stubbs? What an indictment on enos.

what a disaster.
