2. Contracts are universally written where the buyout amount is a lesser percentage of the remaining years base salary. Use 50% as a middle point, and they often times can be paid out over multiple years. In the accounting world think of depreciating a tangible asset. Unless Blake James went rogue and deviated from precedence, I’d be shocked if Manny’s buyout was more than $5mm
