People forget, we almost lost to VT that year, as well as BC. If Manny has Enos, I think we lose a couple games. If Coker was coaching this year, we pound FIU.

Coker was only up 14-0 in the 3rd vs FIU two years after Miami set the record for first round picks in the NFL draft.
Miami football hasn't had a competent coach outside of Richt in 20 years.
Miami football is dead.

That VT game we were ahead 20-3 at half and relaxed somewhat....Ed Reed intercepted them ans we could of scored again we were in red zone but just ran ball out.
With Manny and Enos, I don't see us going up 20-3 on a decent team. They are just terrible. Chud and Shannon are far better coordinators than what we currently have.

Coker won and he's the same like Manny he just claps. They both can't recruit so they would crash that lambo Butch built.

Coker recruited better than Manny though and he was a better game day coach. If Manny had that team he would have benched most of the HOFers and put in a squad full of walk ons. Even with the HOFers in, there is only so much you can do with a trash offense and defense. We would be losing in the pin stripe bowl.

Facts man

He would bench Sean Taylor cause he runs too fast....he will sub his alter ego in Sean Flagg who runs a 5.3

Larry Coker had his flaws, but he was significantly better than Manny.

He was only up by 7 in the third quarter vs FIU just two years after setting the record for the most first round picks ever. He sucked too.

Y'all love to argue which **** is the shiniest and it always just so happens that our current **** is the stinkiest.

Coker was awful and I was early on that topic. But Manolo does lower the bar. His staff is much worse, his hype and talk worse, his recruiting not better.

Manny could only dream of being up by 7 on FIU in the 3rd Q.

It really is sad. We got enough talent to at least be able to win the Coastal, not for long with Manolo as HC though.
That was what I was afraid of if we had a bad year. I'm like this is his best squad on paper after he brings his guys in we in trouble. Don't get me wrong I love me some Chaney and Knighton but going forward the defense scares me. On top of that the d cord will get blamed to buy another year for MD

Yup, its all down hill from here.

Our back 7 is going to be scary (not in a good way) in a couple years if we dont get lucky in recruiting. DL is prolly okay. Not great but okay. OL is [deleted].

Hopefully tvd and chaney are the real deal. like rivers. No idea on washington. Like redding.

Manny's Defense would have been lights out in 2001 & averaged 9.0 PPG or fewer. Manny has already shown that he's a terrific DC at Miami.

Enos would have had a stout OL & outstanding RBs so his system would have worked much better. I'm not a huge Enos fan but the talent level on offense was overwhelming (and Dorsey has a really good football mind) so they still would have won the MNC.

Everything u wrote here is pretty much on point I agree with all of it. Also man it's like we are Fielding an FAU Pitt type of squad like that's our ceiling and we are ok with it. I think if they do it long enough they will get the kid fans to think this is the way it is and flush the fans out who want excellence. Slowly and slowly they will push us out and this is who they will be for the foreseeable future.

His defenses don't do any **** thing with real competition since he's been here minus ND. I think that year RJ was such a force he disguised alot of weaknesses. For the 01 squad it would have worked though it was elite talent at every level. I think it's downhill from here on defense but fans will be tricked into thinking it's Blake and that will buy Diaz another year. He will change Dcord and nothing will change.
