Manny being brutally honest

His past is just as questionable as our player's.

Has he learned from previous stops? Can he adjust his schemes? Can he find the right mix of DL pressure and stiffen the softer middles when exposed in matchups?

I guess we shall find out in a few more weeks.......

Indeed we will find out.

From my experience, however, coaches tend to stick to what they know. Many of the guys in the profession don't have the ability to look in the mirror when something goes wrong.
Diaz seems like a guy who looks in the mirror and sees the players.

That's what I'm gathering.

Diaz's career is interesting. He's coordinated some good defenses, some mediocre ones, and then there was that debacle at Texas.

Based on what I saw from last year's MSU games, Diaz dialed up his zone blitzes with the safeties back. If the pressure didn't get there and the QB didn't panic, there was a lot of open real estate over the middle. MSU didn't give up a lot of back-breaking huge plays, but they were susceptible to 12-16 yard gains.

If the front 4 is stout, he should be fine.
