Manny and Dan deserve 3 years...

I've got my firesuit on ****'s go ahead and blast me...

This talk of firing Manny or Dan is STUPID as ****....

These guys have true pedigree and history of success.

They took over a sinking program from a coach who was getting middle-ranked recruiting classes followed by 4-5 stars jumping ship after 2018.

You guys expected that they would turn this thing around in 9 MONTHS?? (Manny hired in Dec 2018)

You expected a Top 10 team within 9 months of a coaching hire??

You're a FU*KING football IDIOT if you think that's possible unless the team was ALREADY LOADED like 2001..... and this AIN'T 2001 by about 1 million miles...

Flame away dummies....

I mean Diaz was on the staff. Can’t give him a total pass but he does deserve 3 years.

Again, what's the benefit of keeping young guys on the bench THIS year? So that next year we have to start all over? This is not the year that we were going to win anything. Think D'Eriq King.

So when does the cycle end? It’s always NEXT year.... your probably the fan who always says during signing day after missing out on studs again “Hey guys don’t worry 20xx class is loaded with *insert position*!!”

We’ve had one 10 win season since 2003... we have to start winning now and in bunches together or we will officially be has been a who will never be again

Whether he deserves it or not, he's likely our coach for the next 4. Pop a chill pill, and watch as our 2024 coach sports yet another stellar resume...

If we finish 9-3 or better then Manny definitely deserves 4 years, if we finish 7-5 or worse I don't think so.

Daniel Penos on the other hand needs to go at the end of the season, hopefully he gets hired elsewhere.

His Offense isn't a scheme fit with our personnel, we're never going to have the OL to run it properly.

We need an Uptempo Spread coordinator & I'm not moving off that opinion for nothing, it's been evident that's what we've needed since 2016.

That's questionable and not nearly the certainty that many of you think it is.
It's not really that questionable. From 2016 - 2019 our recruiting classes were ranked higher than the 3 schools I just mentioned. In fact I think the only ACC Coastal team that had a higher ranked class than us in that timeframe was VT last year (26th while we were 27th in a HC transition year).

Enos was QB coach at Bama. I don’t think the QB coach calls plays.
Gattis was actually the co/OC but Locksley called the plays. Enos just benefitted from having Tua (who he didn’t recruit) and Locksley calling plays. He then duped Manny into wasting a ton of his staff budget on him.

*you're

I'm not holding out hope for a 9-3 season by playing upper classmen. We have to develop talent at some point.

Recruiting class rankings are probably the most unreliable tool out there. But people still use them to prove how "talented" we are.

Guys making the most mistakes are first time starters or reserves. O line stinks but part of that is slow thinking by Williams who needs to speed up his reads . Agree with OP too early to be calling for Manny's head but the mob is the mob. They called for Jimmy's and Butch's head too.
I'm not happy by any means about what is going on, but this forum absolutely would have called for Jimmy's head during his first season. And am I imagining things or did banners fly when Butch was here?

I have no idea if Manny is going to pan out, but if you hire a guy he deserves a few years. Hindsight is always 20/20.

Oh, we're going to continue to struggle in the talent department as long as we continue to load up on south Florida kids who appear talented in 7-on-7 camps but who have no desire to win.
Why aren't we recruiting all the kids Wisconsin, Iowa, etc are recruiting for OL?

Good question, although I'm not sure how many of them want to leave the midwest. Miami-Dade has a cesspool reputation around most of the country. But we do have to find a way to get around the country to find players. I mean, UCF is on their second straight QB from Hawaii.

If we go 7-1 for the remainder of the schedule and it looks like the CMU game, then your record shouldn't dictate a deserved 4 yrs. We have looked lethargic and very underwhelming in recent weeks. Manny's postgame pressers tells me he's naive to the current state of the team. I understand this is a year of checks and balances, but he will be judged on his end of season adjustments(2nd yr crootin and staff redefining). 9-3 with this weak schedule is nothing to stand and salute. The talent gap favors UM but the coaching gap and player development tells you whether a coach should be granted anything over 3 yrs.

You can't make definitive judgements on coaches after 4 games, neither good nor bad.

You can think you know based off 4 games, but you don't.
You can judge if the team plays hard and gives great effort for a coach. You can judge whethet a team is disciplined and not costing the team points or field positions. You can judge whether a coach is forcing a scheme on personnel that doesn't fit. You can judge if a coach is over his head or is he able to handle the ups and downs of cfb. There's a lot you can see with the naked eye that tells you iif a coach is worthy of or a waste of time

In other words, the facts do not support your narrative. But ok, let's regard composite recruiting rankings. So what objective measure or tool do you use to measure the level of talent on the roster?

Well, they aren't "facts". They are rankings of high school players. Those rankings have literally no data regarding a kid's work ethic. And, as we are finding out, kids who come from Miami-Dade struggle in that department.

You people have been throwing this "talent" line out there for years, almost as if you don't watch other teams.
