He had to craft a brand NEW offense, New QB, new receivers, and new O-line with 2 TRUE FRESHMEN (ie. kids straight out of highschool) within 8 months of being hired by Manny....



How about NICK SABAN'S first year at Alabama?

Everyone loves to bring up the Saban first year thing at Alabama to make themselves feel better about a new coach but take a look at those 6 losses and who they were to. 2 of those teams finished in the top 5 with LSu winning the title. 5 of them were ranked in the preseason top 25. The outlier of course was Louisiana Monroe. Unlike Saban's first year Bama team we will be more talented than every team we play with the exception of Florida and Arguably Florida state.

They took over a sinking program from a coach who was getting middle-ranked recruiting classes followed by 4-5 stars jumping ship after 2018.

You guys expected that they would turn this thing around in 9 MONTHS?? (Manny hired in Dec 2018)

You expected a Top 10 team within 9 months of a coaching hire??

this team was a year removed from a 10 win season(could have been 11)....

Biggest thing they needed to do was put out an offensive line that was either good and pass blocking or run blocking and let everything else sort itself out... instead they wanted to put our young kids like this is a slow rebuild and take their HUGE lumps at the expense of two early losses
 
Enos hoping we play Buffoon a few more times so he can rack up some stats and build resume for HC jobs. No one will actually want him, but Flake James will fold and give him another million to stay.
 
Deserve ain't got nothing to do with anything. Can't imagine them getting less than three years. Frankly, unless we get a real AD and change our priorities to the point that hiring an Urban Meyer is possible, it simply won't matter.

If Manny doesn't work out, you can write this program off. For that reason alone, I'm going to be patient with him. Aggravated, disappointed, and angry with every **** loss (or crappy win), but no choice but to be patient and hope.

Agreed! I think Mike Locksley was the real genius behind Bama offense. Locksley designed while Enos called he plays. Look at Maryland's offense. I am not as down on Enos as most people are but I never fell for the offensive genius talk either.

*NOTE* Locksley called the plays. Error on my part.

You would have to have an AD and trustees to lite a fire under his ***. Takes them much longer to do that based on past regimes

We weren't winning a title this year no matter which line we put out there. Why keep young guys on the bench in order to add a couple more meaningless wins? If we had played a young guy at QB instead of staying with the Rosier disaster, we would be further along right now.

Also the Sunshine Pumpers forget to mention Saban turned around Michigan St won a championship at LSU
