Guys making the most mistakes are first time starters or reserves. O line stinks but part of that is slow thinking by Williams who needs to speed up his reads . Agree with OP too early to be calling for Manny's head but the mob is the mob. They called for Jimmy's and Butch's head too.

Manny will probably get 3 years. Deserve is a different issue. Take away the Twitter game and pseudo-machismo and you're left with a journeyman coordinator with mixed results. He's far less less qualified to be a P5 HC than Randy Shannon was. Manny didn't "deserve" to get the job at all. And it shows.
 
Manny doesn't deserve three years here. He's got no resume to justify that and he's already been responsible for basically half of this roster. In my opinion he's done a great job with that side of the ball and that's why he's here.

But he's got way too much talent on the other side for it to take three seasons to get this ship righted.

That being said, he deserves a lot more than the four or even one game some of the experts here have given him, for whatever their motives may be.

Manny created this problem by proclaiming to the football world this is THE NEW MIAMI !! I will give him some time. But with this schedule he cant have back to back mediocre seasons. We have to see improvement on the field. This is a mistake prone too many penalties team. Will he make any changes after the season we do not know. He will need to re evaluate the staff because the production of players on both sides of the ball is lacking.
 
Why not four years? five years? six years?

We're hiring Cristobal next, so wtf does it matter. Children born today - this very second - will not know a 'Canes team that is great until they can legally buy booze...

Who am I ******* kidding...we'll be hiring Chris Merritt as HC in 2035 because...well why ******* not.

He had to craft a brand NEW offense, New QB, new receivers, and new O-line with 2 TRUE FRESHMEN (ie. kids straight out of highschool) within 8 months of being hired by Manny....



How about NICK SABAN'S first year at Alabama?

You simpleton, Alabama didn’t need 3 years. We will have a good idea at the end of year 1 and will be **** certain after year 2. All winning coaches make the jump during year 2.

Reallly dumbfvck?! The previous staff left him with middle of the road recruiting classes, you do realize richt was best recruiter we’ve had here in forever right. You do realize that we’re over 50% blue chip ratio on this team for the first time in 10 years right? I’ll repeat that we are over 50% blue chip ratio for the first time since the 2009 season and that is thanks to Richt! How ******* stupid are you dude or you just some kid in front of computer trolling for reactions? Because your porst is one of the dumbest ones I’ve ever read. And what makes you think manny is gonna be able to out recruit richt, so far he hasn’t shown one ounce of an ability to do that. As a matter of fact Diaz and his defensive coaches/cronies were the worst recruiters during CMR tenure. Maybe if we had a DC then that could also recruit we’d have a BC ratio closer to Clemson, OSU and bama. This was never a rebuild hire, the only reason Manny Shannon got the job was because he hood winked the admin into believing that all that was needed was a quick fix to the offense and we would instantly be competing for coastal/ACC championships because the defense would remain elite. Well 4 games in the offense is worse then last years and the defense has gone down the $hitter. So get the Fvck out of here with that BS he needs 3 years to get more talent, Diaz is a $hitty recruiter and this is the most talent end team he’ll have here! So if can’t win with this team, then he ain’t ever winning. Smh

Agree with everything except Dan Enos getting three years. Dan Enos' time is shorter than a HC if they don't perform. That is, a HC should fire his coordinator if they are not seeing production.
 
There’s some red flags early but he’ll get 3 years regardless. First year is usually a wash. 2nd year starts the judging. 3rd year job is on the line. This is Miami where we hold onto to coaches 1 year too late so I would say he’ll probably be given 4 years unless we go full on FSU.

Despite the red flags from HC/OC/DC, this is a very young and inexperienced team that SHOULD get significantly better if the coaches are worth a ****.
 
I can kind of understand the rationale for Manny. For a variety of reasons most head coaches are given at least 2 years barring a scandal. But Enos doesn't deserve jack ****. If he isn't getting the job done, replace him with someone who will.
