Manny’s two rookie mistakes

At Manny’s introductory press conference I thought he made a few mistakes but that’s to be expected as he was filled with excitement and new to this thing.

#1 was saying he had three OC candidates and the 4th choice would be amazing.

#2 was telling everyone the hire would be done by Thursday.

Both statements really painted him into a corner. They also show we may be having trouble hiring an OC.

I’m not bashing Manny in anyway because as a new head coach there and going to be learning experiences along the way of how to deal with the media and expectations. He’s a sharp guy and will figure that part of the job out.

Pretty sure you or someone else already made a thread like this. Secondly, he still has a day to make his announcement by Thursday. For all we know the announcement could be made tonight.
 
A. You all need to invest in a calendar. Everyone seems to think it's Thursday or maybe even Friday?

B. Someone else made a thread practically identical to this. Be original with your negative takes.
 
He said on the radio that they are dotting Is and crossing Ts and that it will be done by the weekend. So, pretty much what he said about being ready when the dead period ends. If anyone thinks Friday v Thursday or Saturday v Thursday is a mistake, Come on.
 
Wow, those are really huge mistakes. So we can all agree it's not Thursday yet right??? And, I'm sure he was not lying when he said that there are 3 great candidates and that the 4th would be a great hire. Not sure where the mistake was made. We will ***** about anything.

He said Thursday and today is Wednesday.... you’re gonna look really dumb when he announces his staff tomorrow
 
Some of you are sensitive. Many said the hire would be done by Thursday. He just walked that back on Joe Rose and said it could go into this weekend. I know what day it is and he painted himself into a corner by giving a deadline.

Don’t let facts get in the way of your feelings.
 
So what if he announces the hires midnight Thursday night was everything he said a mistake? Seriously who cares?

You’re completely missing the context of the 3rd or 4th guy reference.

What we do know is everything has been tight lipped and their haven't been any leaks.

For all we know the OC has been hired but not announced yet. This could be position coaches and he could all want it done so when they hit the road for the final month of recruiting they can focus on that instead of not having coaches hired in certain position
