Manny’s comments

Y’all know full and well he doesn’t believe anything he’s saying.

He knows saying any sort of bull**** is better for him monetarily speaking than admitting he’s failed. There’s no coming back from that. But in his eyes, if he were to somehow salvage this, he could say “see I told you.”

We know he’s done, he knows he’s done. But admitting everything he’s tried hasn’t worked is just career suicide.

Couch has to be the smallest dude on defense but it’s just disgusting how he’s our best tackler. And that’s no slight to him. I’m sick of watching our line fail to set the edge and get moved around at will, backers that are slow and out of position, Defensive backs that are always getting torched by QB’s you’ve never heard of, and all of the crap angles.

I would argue, with no true basis of knowledge, that the culture is bad and veterans are putting in less time outside of team activities doing work on their own by watching film and working out, and hanging out. The question then becomes do the next group of young players become infested with this same virus after a few years at the school?
Yes this is how it always goes

Fair questions, but isn’t there a guy the university pays to mitigate such concerns? And isn’t there a guy paid to manage the guy paid to mitigate such concerns?
I am friends with a young man who was one of the last cuts on the Raiders this year at linebacker. He was appalled at the number of players who acted entitled, didn’t do anything extra and were rude to coaches. One guy was recently signed and was 20 minutes late to the meeting where his signing was announced.
Lots of these guys do not work hard outside of team activities. Coaches can only do so much.
