Malik Young Doesn’t Turn his head in Pass Coverage

The dude is a good cover corner, but the next time he turns his head to play the ball in pass coverage will be the first time.

He’s just begging for PI calls

Smh - People whine over anything. He's the best cover guy we have and probably in the state. Cry me a river.

No body is denying he is a great cover guy, but there are no great CBs who never turn their heads around. Its about being that next level corner. Its harder to cover when you turn your head. Slows you down and you lose sight of the WR. Also Offenses will pick up on that and start shorting routes to pick up that PI, expecially if they can get open otherwise.

People don't have to get so upset. It's the truth. He needs to turn is head around, he would have 3 or 4 picks if he did. Jackson does it and look what happened. He has the speed to not worry about getting burnt after a while. The ball has to come out. He is playing well but he does need to start looking at the ball. The thing is tho, I'm sure the coaches are talking to him about it because this coaching staff is legit

Literally a thread on this two weeks ago. Wake me up when he gets flagged for PI or beat deep.

It only happens when we're playing man coverage. (your eyes are on the WR not the throw)

All you're really asking for in man coverage is a PBU. Actually turning your head and picking the ball is considered an exceptional play.

That's one of the biggest things young CB's have trouble with. It's why man corners usually don't get a lot of INT's. Zone CB's are the ones that rack up all the stats.

As he gets more experience he'll learn to recognize when the WR's route is over and when he can finally turn his head and locate the ball.
