Malik was hurt?

Kid was a gamer but we need way more consistency from our qb next year. Hope he gets us a win tomorrow but ready for Perry to hopefully take the job.

This is good news. It means they're cranking up the excuses when Perry takes the job because he must be playing well and knows the playbook now.

A busted shoulder prevented him from scanning the field and making reads?

This wasn't one of his strengths when he was healthy.

Before the UNC game he had one below 50% passing day. That was against FSU and we know he was great late in that game. He was hurt early in the UNC game and finished the year with 4 out of his last 6 passing performances falling under 50%.
Competition early in the year was bullish!t for crying out loud, even FSWho was down. Early on in the season they respected our passing game a bit more, it just took a while for everyone to notice such an obvious deficiency at the QB position because we kept winning. Stop being blind. Was he hurt against Georgia Tech amiracle happened for us to win that game.

I'm buying because you'd have to have a broken throwing arm to be as inaccurate as he has been. I hope law of averages has him balling out

Selling. His shoulder injury didn't affect the offense being able to line up and run the football early in games.

Unless they knew we had a noodle arm QB who couldn't challenge with a deep ball. Then they could play 9 plus the trumpet section in the box.

Shame on ALL of you Cane:11263726654_a089dab good ol' boys whom were CRAPPING all over #12 the latter part of the season!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you good ol' boys have NO SENSE of DECENCY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:puzzled:

Rozier was hurt in the first-half of the Carolina Blue game. And after that game was when his passing production took an IMMENSE drop and what not.:canes1:

The bottom line: It was probably a 21st Century miracle that Miami defeated both VA. Tech and mighty ND following the narrow escape against lowly Carolina Blue. hUh.

Canes don't make injury excuses. QB's at the U can't just call press conferences to make excuses for injuries on their own. CMR would not have approved this article coming out if he didn't know it to be true right? The man was obviously injured even to the laymans eyes. He just didn't throw crisply after UNC.

Rosier doesn't have an enormous amount of talent, but some intangibles were there all year and he's got a solid arm.

Perry should be improved next year, but so should Malik. It will be a much better competition in the spring but based on how Perry closed out last years QB competition I'd hold off on just handing him the job. He was ok.

Voila. Numbers don't lie, and Rozier's passing production DROPPED SIGNIFICANTLY following the Carolina Blue game.:puzzled: dUh. And I'm inferring that it was ' 80% ' shoulder injury, and the rest on just bad QB/WR/OL/play, and play calling, and all that. hUh.

Yes he was hurt, everyone knew that, but he looked the same after UNC as he did before UNC, so it doesn't matter.

Maybe you should watch closer then, specifically the Pitt game. At least he could complete bubble screens early in the year and was money on deep balls. Both of those were non existent the last couple of games. And it's not like he was just missing, he wasn't even close or had nothing on his throws.

This is all about hating Rosier because he's not Dorsey, which is typical of dogsh!t Miami fans. It was his first year in a brand new offense with a **** offensive line, his best RB on the bench, his best WR hurt all year, no depth at TE or a FB and if we're being honest (which is almost impossible in these threads) Richt's play calling was ****ty at times. Despite all that and the obvious injury, he broke the TD record and made some of the most memorable plays to WIN games in the last 15 years against top 5 opponents, led us to the coastal title and the ACCCG.

You must have missed all those bad throws early in the year.

I'm not saying Malik is perfect or anything more than above average but the Oline and offensive depth were below average. So while Malik certainly was inaccurate at times, he was also money and was a big part of huge wins that kept the '18 class together and got us a Coastal for the first time in program history. He deserves some credit.

But you're one of those dogsh!t fans that I'm talking about. He sucks because he's not Dorsey. I wonder what Dorsey would've done behind this OL and all the depth problems we had.

Preach on Cane brother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:umuni2:

Pre UNC - 127/214 (59.4%), 14 TD, 3 INT
UNC on - 86/175 (49.1%) 11 TD, 8 INT

Pretty easy to see that something was up, dude had zero touch as the season went on.

Take out toledo and bethune which boosted that up and count only D1 opponents and his completion percentage is 55% pre unc. So did his little bruise really bother him or was it because the schedule got tougher?

Well, based on your approach I guess on the other end you will remove the Clemson game.

You can hate Rosier all you want...I love the kid, because of this season and what is leadership and play accomplished.

Here's what I know to be true...these blogs are mostly filled with hate, half truths, lies and a negativity that is mind boggling.

Had all the hate spewed at coaches and players today been in play back in the day this program would have never enjoyed support from the greats who invented..."It's a Canes thing-you wouldn't understand. And thanks to the hate and misinformation vomited on these sites you are seeing the last of players being in love and loyal to the program after they graduate. It is...OVER!!!

And sir, U are an absolutely genuine Miami Hurricane fan!:dbc: And for that I salute U sir!

Just saw an article by Mitchel Forde where Malik was quoted as saying that he could barely lift a football after the UNC game. The chronic shoulder contusion never fully healed and greatly affected his throwing motion and accuracy. Malik said the 3 weeks off has done wonder for his health and he feels a lot better.

Buying or Selling?

Absolutely BUYING!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup_kid: And only the Rozier HATERS would sell and all that!

****, what Canes QBs have you mutton heads been watching the last 15 years to rip a guy who gave the program its first 10 win season since joining the ACC and 7 conference wins since 2002?

Wait, we played ND and VT post UNC. He seemed to be OK in those games...:ambivalence:

Ok then stop making excuses for Rosier since he didn’t seem hurt vs VTech and ND. But all of a sudden he was hurt for Pitt right? Ok....Gtfoh with that BS.

Rosier was completing around 55/56% of his passes before the supposed injury. He's a gamer with bad accuracy , nothing else to see here. He's just not that talented , face facts.

What 2017 games did you watch that made you think the QB "gave the program its first 10 win season"?

I'm not saying I want Rosier to start next year, because I don't, but after looking at John Wolford of Wake Forest, maybe not all hope is lost for Rosier.

Wolford's 2016 stats: 1,774 yards passing, 55.5% completion rate, 9 TD, 10 INT
Wolford's 2017 stats: 3,192 yards passing 64% completion rate, 29 TD, 6 INT

Wake had the same QB coach and Offensive coordinator last year and this year.
