Malik was hurt?

Just curious,

A lot of folks expect Malik to take a backseat to Williams or Perry next year.

Is there a precedent for that? A guy taking his team to a 11 win season with a major bowl win....only to be relegated to backup the following year......?

Pre UNC - 127/214 (59.4%), 14 TD, 3 INT
UNC on - 86/175 (49.1%) 11 TD, 8 INT

Pretty easy to see that something was up, dude had zero touch as the season went on.

No. But most teams that do that usually has good qb play.

Take out toledo and bethune which boosted that up and count only D1 opponents and his completion percentage is 55% pre unc. So did his little bruise really bother him or was it because the schedule got tougher?

well cardale jones won a championship with osu and started the first half of the next season before heading back to the bench.

Well, based on your approach I guess on the other end you will remove the Clemson game.

You can hate Rosier all you want...I love the kid, because of this season and what is leadership and play accomplished.

Here's what I know to be true...these blogs are mostly filled with hate, half truths, lies and a negativity that is mind boggling.

Had all the hate spewed at coaches and players today been in play back in the day this program would have never enjoyed support from the greats who invented..."It's a Canes thing-you wouldn't understand. And thanks to the hate and misinformation vomited on these sites you are seeing the last of players being in love and loyal to the program after they graduate. It is...OVER!!!

Rosier isnt a leader. And what the **** are you talking about? Players will always come back. A lot of them came back for games this year.

Right.

I believe they were undefeated when they made the change too.

But to your point, they made it in the middle of the season.

If we go with Perry or Williams, it won’t be a mid-season thing. I’m assuming they’ll win the job outright between spring and fall camp.

Yes he was hurt, everyone knew that, but he looked the same after UNC as he did before UNC, so it doesn't matter. He still would make a great throw and then miss 2 easy throws to kill drives. He did against Bethune, Toledo, FSU, etc. the same as he did against Pitt and Clemson. I don't the injury had much of an impact.

The injury may or may not have had an impact, but there was most definitely a difference. As someone else said, the highs want away and we were left with just the lows. Maybe it was just mental for him, but there really was a difference.

Before fsu he played bethune, toledo, and duke.

He completed 60% of his passes against Bethune. 75% against Toledo. 57% of his passes against Duke. 8 TDs and 2 INTs. What's your point?

The point is as the competition rose he got worse. You trying to make it seem like a injury is what caused his play.

He was over 60% against Syracuse when Richards couldn't catch a cold and over 60% against GT. Both better than UNC. He gets hurt in the first quarter against UNC who is awful and the completion percentage gets worse. Malik was hovering around slightly above average as a QB before he got hurt. Should I pretend his dropoff in play had nothing to do with getting hurt and all to do with the likes of Pitt and UVA being on the schedule?

He was struggling vs gt until he started hitting some passes in the 2nd half. His best game was probably vs syracuse. He completed 43% of his passes vs fsu. Was on fire the 1st half vs duke and was *** in the 2nd. Even struggled the 1st half vs toledo. So no it wasn't a injury. Teams started figuring out this dude can't beat us throwing and started playing him that way.

You need to read what you just wrote. It's pretty easy to figure out a QB with an injured shoulder wasn't going to beat them passing...so just load up the box.

But his shoulder had no impact against Clemson. They just ***** slapped us.

I’m not so sure Malik gives that job up as easy as some think.

Even money.

I believe Rosier injured his throwing shoulder in the UNC game. He wasn't consistently accurate before the injury, and got worse as the season progressed. His performance against Whisky will let us know if he's healed, or not, physically and mentally.

Leadership? The guy said after the Pitt game that he wasn't focused. And every indication is that his teammates don't like him.

Kelly contract signed with UF. Signed. Sealed. Delivered.

More made up bullshlt from the biggest lying sack of shlt to ever grace this board. One thing to criticize his play, quite another to make up a load of crap about which you have no fūcking earthly idea. Back to your old tricks.

You just can’t help yourself.

You’re like a recidivist criminal.

From another poster:

a huge reason why richt didn't want rosier to start is because no one on the team liked or respected him. he's a ****y *******. one of my (now graduated) employees was on the student football staff at the end of golden and the beginning of richt and was shocked that it was even a possibility that rosier would see the field.

It seems as though people are always having to explain to you what they are talking about. Comprehension is not your strong suit.

Of course Rosier is a leader and if you made that absurd claim in front his coaches and teammates they would laugh in your face. A really, really dumb observation, but you are a hater so it comes with the territory.

Players from 2003/04 onward return at a level similar to any other program. Their involvement is nothing special, unlike the older Canes who didn't have malcontents like you lathering hate and lies on them. People such as yourself are cancers within any program you claim to have an affiliation.

Here it is two days before the Canes will be playing in a major bowl for the first time in 13 years as ACC Coastal Division Champions after winning 10 straight games and you are on this site tearing down "OUR" quarterback and spewing hate.

Pal...you are a piece of work!

That’s your source? From the preseason? When everyone said he wasn’t starting either?
