Malik Starting the Bowl game

This is an actual quote from today, not satire. Richt said this to defend his decision.

This is almost as bad as Butch Jones' "Champions of Life" crap, and that rubbed Tennessee fans the wrong way too...just like this should **** everyone of us off.

While I agree Rosier himself has handled his time at Miami with class...there comes a time where being a nice guy and a great human being isn't enough, and you've got to put points up on the scoreboard. Richt hasn't figured that out yet. If he doesn't figure it out, we'll be staring another HC change in the face (not) soon enough.

"Malik gives us the best shot to win"

I've heard that numerous times this season and we haven't beaten one Power 5 opponent when he's played.

This is more of an advocation to get Williams to start as opposed to Perry; whom the latter should've been suspended.

You know what the worst part about it is? Wisky doesn't have to prep. They know how to stop Malik. Here was his stat line from the bowl game last year:

I'd be **** surprised if Malik doesn't do about the same or worse than that stat line in this game...and Wisky knows exactly what to do to stop it.

At least starting Williams would have given Wisky a different look...or even Kosi if you're not going to out and out suspend him.

Also gives Williams valuable game experience and multiple options for week 1 against UF.

But Richt won't even find a way to get JW into the game while Malik stumbles his way around the field tomorrow night.

Then we'll have another season similar to this season and Richt will preach about he has inexperienced QBs.

He's literally setting himself up for excuses just like his predecessor.

He won't.
Think we see Cade before Jarren.

Richt has drawn a line in the sand. This is his team and he will not do anything that's seen as giving into fan pressure.

Also, it messes up his ready made excuse for when UF stomps us next season which is "Well you know we were breaking in a new QB who never had the chance to play in a big game atmosphere before."

Perry was 6-24 54 yards in the final game of the season? Y’all complaining about this?

Perry had 2 games over 200 yards out of 10 games played (205 vs FSU and 224 vs fiu).

-51% completion rate

-He hasn’t been that good this year

Malik is not a good QB by any means but he’s not as bad as that....Play malik first and then get Jarren Williams some time in the game is where I’m at with it because the decision to not play Perry shouldn’t cause any uproar considering the video and possible other suspension...
The problem with your statement is that nobody trust that Mark will let Jarren play. I'm of the belief that Rosier will play himself to the bench but if he plays well I'm not sure that Mark lets Jarren in for a few series.

There is no justification for starting Malik, regardless of whether or not Perry is suspended. If Perry is suspended, Williams should get the nod. It gives him valuable game experience heading into spring camp, and it also eases some of the tension regarding the transfer talk.

Nevertheless, Malik should not be the starter!

Are you implying that there’s something wrong with a coach saying that about a 5th year senior who, by all accounts, has been a good dude?

As the quote indicates, this has zero to do with his on field performance.

And this is big time college football. What kind of person you are on the field (so long as you're not a complete scumbag) shouldn't factor into whether you earn PT or not?

I said it before and I'll say it again, if you put Richt in Jimbo's shoes back in 2013, FSU doesn't win a natty. He would never have played Jameis.

All you can do is laugh at this point.

Meh. You start Rosier, give him a few possessions and then get Wiliams in the game. If the freshman plays well, he'll stay in rest of the game. If he falters—that's on him and it let's 12 back in the picture.

All this trashing of Richt—why aren't more ****ed off as the stupidity, selfishness and immaturity of this 4-star, third-ranked, dual-threat quarterback from the 2017 class.

Perry was listed behind Tagovailoa and Mond, and while both of them thrive, this mental-midget is more concerned with his "brand" and social media feed than he is EARNING the starting job at the University of Miami.

5 couldn't even beat out the sub-par 12 in spring. THAT is the real joke here; not who Richt is stuck with at the position.

Williams will play. You don't start the freshman in this game right out the gate. Give Rosier a few possession and then pave the way for Williams, like Miami did with Perry in the FIU game.

Yeah, I made mention of that earlier. The parallels between he and Golden are very similar.

well, at least our guys got to see NYC during Christmas. I hear its lovely around this time of year

See, these are the type of experiences our young men get aboard the Richtanic...

Being from NY City I can tell you it is an awesome experience not to be forgotten. They rang the bell on Wall Street today and last I checked market was on a big rise, GO CANES, makes us proud!!
