Malik Starting the Bowl game

Well, if the Herd is correct and Rosier is going to be a disaster, then Coach Richt can always turn to Perry. This is precisely why Perry was benched and not suspended.

When you think about it the Herd must be beside themselves with joy as they have the opportunity to immediately start bashing Rosier again, while simultaneously attacking Coach Richt. In other words, Christmas has come twice for the Haters.

The only fly in the ointment is if Rosier's play is satisfactory, then we will be talking the Herd members off of a 100 story ledge. Unfortunately, no one who is being honest will try to save the Mob members by yelling up to them; "Don't do it...you have so much to live for".

Oh barry is that what you would do? All this guy does is drum up drama... I guess it is a job but go work at TMZ then.

I would love to hear his direct quote, definitely not as direct as he is making it seem, it was probably along the lines of "Is there any chance we could see multiple qb's play?" and he also didn't put Richt's answer. Just that "he made it clear" so he is just inferring. In all honesty it was likely a BS question (see above) followed by a BS answer along the lines of "we will play who gives us the best chance to win, I am not worried about 2019 right now, I am focused on Wisc"

Now I say that to say this, winning is good, we all want to win, IF perry is suspended, it makes too much sense to have Rosier start the game, get adrenaline and emotions to calm down then play JW. This also seems like it would align with the whole JW is transferring, to they "convinced" him to stay and now Perry in hot water again. I'm not saying Richt promised snaps, all I am saying is it make sense given the factors.

It's official. Malik starting. Richt is quoted as saying, "Malik gives us the best chance to win." I'm not joking. That's the quote.

On whether N'kosi is suspended, Richt said, "He's been educated, but is available to play." So, IDK if that means Perry is suspended for a qtr? half? Or just lost the his starting job from the *** video. I haven't followed on who was taking #2 practice reps. Does anyone know? Was it Jarren?

William supposedly getting the bulk of the second team reps.

I don't have to like the decision to start Malik, but I don't have any grounds to defend Perry either at this point.

Make no mistake, Perry's antics would not be tolerated by any program. It's getting ridiculous with these social media feeds and what he is willing to put on them as a representative of this program. The kid is on a one-way ticket to Last Vhance U.

He was on a list of top dual-threat quarterbacks coming out of high school, and he by far is proving himself to be the biggest buffoon of that group.

We can certainly fault the staff in the development department, but there is no question when you see stuff like this he has hurt himself plenty and progressed more slowly due to it.

I would love to see Williams start this game and get some experience under his belt, should he win the starting job during the upcoming camps. That just doesn't seem to be how they make decisions around here.

- So.......start a QB that has a propensity for not being able to play efficiently and can barely outplay (if it all) guys that are in their 2nd year of college.
- Winning this bowl game is going to have zero effect on recruiting; both in the positive or the negative.
- How are you committed to winning this bowl game, when the guy that's announced the starter hasn't beaten one Power 5 opponent this year when he's played?
- So, if Nkosi has been in the system for 2 years and has about a half season worth of game experience and looks mediocre. Why are we going with a guy that has 3 years in this system, 5 years total in college, 2 years of game experience total, yet still looks just as bad if not worst than Perry?
- Do you know exactly what went on with Jarren Williams? By all accounts, people say he looks to be the most accurate and polished in the QB room. We've had an abortion of a year, marred and highlighted by two QBs that are just not good. This is also due to the fact that we have an unqualified QB coach developing QBs who doesn't know how to get a handle on his own room (QBs being suspended multiple times in a season as opposed to other position groups).
- When you have a 7-5 season, no particular player should be handed the job. Especially at QB, where QB play is the primary reason we are 7-5.
You've got to stop telling yourself that this game doesn't matter.

Malik has won some big games. He's played in more than NKosi.

Jarren is really making this decision for CMR. If he were setting it on fire in practice, the choice would be easy.

Playing Jarren for the sake of getting him experience is disrespectful to the seniors. They just want to win now.

Perry should not start. The kid is extremely immature. Jarren is not proven. Only option is to start Rosier. I hope jW gets some reps in the game

Dude that video was from a couple months ago and I guarantee the school knew. As long as he had consent for the act and the post, the females can scream all they want. As far as a failed drug test, idk but that's different. It shouldn't be but at Miami, it is

multiple failed tests are NOT ok

Sorry, I don't trust Mork's evaluation right now.

Stay away from that Opa Locka Kush, bruh.

"Don't start the freshman" is crazy talk. I guess Miami is the only school in the country that should not start true freshmen at QB.
He will have to start Augie against UF because you can’t afford to start Jarren in that atmosphere.

I like Berry Jackson, but his ideas of how Coach Richt should handle the QB's is not nearly his forte.

The Herd believes that winning the Wisconsin game is not important, which is all one needs to know about these so-called Cane fans. In all my years of being a real Canes fans, I've NEVER heard or read another real fan voice such an idiotic opinion. And that's saying a lot after having read the comments on this message board. Yet, if the Canes were to lose the very same haters will be howling about the outcome.

Most bowl games now mean absolutely nothing, that's why the sponsors are flipping every year and smaller sponsors are taking over.
With that being said, we have a real problem at the QB position that starting a 5th year senior will not solve that problem.
This coaching staff needs to give as many meaningful snaps to the other 3 quarterbacks that are going to be there next year.

Rosier hasn't beaten a Power 5 team in over a year. If they wanted to win now, you're better off going with the unknown than what you already know with Rosier.

But again, he does have experience against Wiscy...oh wait, he lost that game.
