Malik Rosier has committed to Miami

If you're gonna take Rosier then why not recruit Sean White or Wade Freebeck?

You're gonna go to Alabama and take a kid with an extremely mediocre offer list when you have QB's in your backyard that are very comparable? (or even better)

I don't know. Must be something I'm not seeing.

White, Freebeck, Jeanty, Winky, or Treon I would take over him.

Because Coley likes him better then those guys.

Why go to California and recruit a kid (Kaaya) with no offers at all? That kid seems like he's pretty good. Maybe this Coley guy has a decent eye for QB talent.

Who cares what his offer list looks like? If the staff waits until a kid blows up, then they get dissed for slow playing kids. When they're offered early, people bytch about the lack of offers. Gotta love internet CEO's...smh.

This is the first pick up of 2014 that I don't like. IMO, there are better QBs out there...a few of them have already been named. This kid is barely pushing 6'0 and we were his only BCS offer.

Coley wants his type of qb and if he feels this is the next Russell Wilson then I say go for it

Let's relax on the Winky/Treon stuff. They are not D1A QBs at Miami, imo. They are athletes who happen to play QB. Rosier happens to be a QB who is an athlete. There is a difference. As for why not Jeanty/Freebeck, I can't comment since I am not sure but I'm sure the coaches have seen those 2 kids plenty and liked Rosier better.

All that said (what I said above), I agree. I am not crazy about taking 3 QBs before their senior season. One guy who is the goods (Kayaa), fine. But to offer an unproven kid (Eduoard) and a guy who doesn't jump out (Rosier) is questionable, imo.

I'm just leave this here

"There were a couple of other schools that we thought might offer and if that happens, I might go there, but I feel really good about Miami right now," he said.

It's taken out of context, he's talking about visits....it doesn't look as bad if you have the paragraph before.

Rosier said he was unsure if he would take other visits this summer and fall.

"There were a couple of other schools that we thought might offer and if that happens, I might go there, but I feel really good about Miami right now," he said.

BRO it is not taken out of Context AS QB with only 1 major offer and that offer is your very first one an its from a school like Miami, if your a QB alot of schools have seen up close and have told you ummm yeah we will call you; how can you then slap UM in the face with comment like that. This kid thinks he is better then he is, not only did he camp at several schools but ALL the big SEC schools sent someone down to watch the kid through one they heard UM had offered him, and they all left without offering him.

I really hope Alin Edouard sticks despite all his tomfoolery, because he brings more to the table with S. Fla ties and physical upside he just needs to get right in the head. An I can guarantee if he does a 180 degree change and starts to take the leadership role in helping to land a few more S. FLA players the staff will slow play if not grey shirt Rosier at the first visit he takes. The only reason he is even here is because Alin is acting the fool every chance he gets. As for the Head to Head comparison those who attended the Camp where Alin participated said he was threw better then Rosier did the week before and is more athletic, its unfortunate he dodged the chance to possibly put this discussion to rest.

But again nothing was taken out of context with Rosier comment the kid is looking around.

Go Canes!

Even basic reading comprehension skills show that it was most certainly taken out of context by the first poster. The article and his full quote clearly shows he was talking about other visits, where he said he has no plans for other visits right now but....

dude if your taking visits and looking for other options what is that called? sounds worse then alin

Shieet, I do. Freakin' offer lists speak volumes. They're sure as **** more reliable than recruiting services. This ain't some kid from our backyard. I look at offer lists because it's a good indication of what the TRUE EXPERTS (other college coaches) thought of him.

You can say that Coley knows quarterbacks, and that's fine, but at the same time you're saying that the other FBS coaches who saw Crosier DON'T. (and FWIW I don't know what other FBS coaches saw him, I'm just making a point)

For the record...I love his tape. There's some grown man throws on there. Maybe we're just the first big school to see him.

It's funny that you still forget Kaayas amazing offer list................ oh wait

I just think people need to go watch this kids film again, it's great. This guy isn't coming in to start day one, Coley is going to mole this guy into the QB he wants through a RS and at least a year on the bench.

Remember this is Coley we are talking about, not Coker. Coley likes the tall QBs that can scramble and throw. EJ style QB. I dont think we will see a true pocket passer for a while.

I never mention Coley or Crozier or FBS coaches or anyone else in my post, so please don't make ***** up. K. Thx.

You still didn't address my point about the offer list. You are complaining that this kid's offer list isn't impressive, thus implying that he's not worthy of a Miami offer. As others have pointed out, Kaaya falls into that category, too. Now that he's committed to us, what would you say if he starts picking up offers from other BCS schools? Would that make him a better prospect in your eyes? If so, you're beyond help. Also, I remind you that the offer lists the "services" have come from the kids themselves. If the kid doesn't want us to know he has an offer, we won't know about it.

Offer lists speak volumes alright...volumes of ***** for shallow dolts who think they know more than the coaches who get paid to know who is worthy of an offer.

You sound like defensive little ***** right now. Stop crying.

If you don't pay attention to what other college coaches think (i.e. offer lists) then I don't know what to tell you.

I said I loved his film and maybe he just hasn't been discovered yet. But if you think offers don't mean anything then you don't know WTF you're looking at. It means plenty, particularly if the kid has been seen by schools.

Offer lists and interest from programs are what the whack recruiting websites use to determine stars. They aren't doing any independent scouting, nor do they have the ability to do that.
