Malik Rosier could be the best QB

For people who are laughing this kid is a stud baseball player and please tell me who on our roster most resembles a Coley style QB (Ponder, Manuel, Winston)?

Shirting Kaaya would be big for the program.

Kid is so similar to Russel Wilson that people have to be wondering.

Kid is a crazy athlete that can really throw on the run.

There is no doubt that he brings a dimension that no one else can on our roster can.

I think that if he shows any ability at all to impact the game he will get some snaps this year regardless who is announced as the starter.

He is taller than Russell Wilson and probably faster and I agree he seems to put balls where receivers aren't slowing and or waiting for the ball.

Its funny how when i created a thread saying he was better then Treon Harris people jumped down my throat. im sure everyone had to chance to watch his video more now and Kid is a baller, made some awesome throws in tight windows and great athlete. i dont how he will turn out but he has a chance to be successful even though i know Golden wants Kayaa to win the Starting Job.

Academy ball in Alabama is garbage. He might be an athlete but don't get all hyped on a highlight reel of him playing against 9th graders. His team last year finished 3-7. That said he hit some good throws but against what level of talent?

He's not playing in a private school league or anything. 5A in that region is tough ball. Lots of SEC talent in Mobile that he played against.

Hey if Rosier were playing like this 3 years ago, you'd be sitting pretty. However, we have seen him grow since being named starter. In any case, the kid is a straight up solid player. Props to him for overcoming adversity. Nothing was handed to him, and he's better for it. Maybe we're all better off he didn't have Golden dominating his on field experience.

He is the best athlete at QB we will have had and he seems to be able to make all the throws judging by his highlight video. I am intrigued by a QB that can pass and run. He might be a Steve Walsh who was a throw in scholarship player who turned out to be big time. We used to thrive on lower rated players who became stars.

Just to be fair, I'm not sure Steve Walsh was a throw-in. You might know more than I remember, but Steve and Bill Turkowski were two QBs whom I think we sought pretty enthusiastically. Steve and Bill were not at the top of the national recruiting lists but coaches who knew QBs knew about Walsh. He was recruited by Schnellenberger for Louisville as I recall. I followed recruiting fairly closely in the mid-80's---and there was not as much information available---but we generally did not compete very well for the highest rated elite kids on the national lists. They, generally, were not interested in us, even after we won a NC in '83. We concentrated on the Florida kids who were great athletes, with great potential and a lot of heart but who were overlooked by the national "experts."

The irony is, Steve's brother came along a few years later, was recognied as a national elite recruit, he signed wih Miami, and showed up with terrible mechanics. They were so bad he had no future as a QB and ended up transferring, maybe back to University of Minnesota.

We've had a lot recruits who could be described as "throw-in." Maybe Joey Coles, Gino Torretta, and some others. Nobody expected Torretta to emerge the way he did.

Another interesting note is that we had a former Minnesota QB on staff as QB coach under Schnellenberger: Marc Trestman. I don't recall if Trestman followed Schnelly up to Louisville. I think he left coaching for a short time and became a stockbroker or something similar.

Couple weeks ago I said that he is the best first year started in America.
These last two weeks only reinforced my belief.
And the best thing is he can get better and will come back next season.
