Malcolm Bunche To Transfer

What is killing this team right NOW, is Shannon's LAST class, and the transition 2011 class which was a catastrophe.

What's killing our team right now is the fact that Al Golden, a clueless moron, is our head coach.

Kid was not able to play tackle and is behind Feliciano, Isadora and Gall.

As a 5th year senior, he can go somewhere else and play right away.

We need to purge this roster of all Shannon kids as quickly as possible.
You know Golden best performances cames with a roster full of said Shannon players right?.....lolz

Can you explain this? Golden's worst record was when his roster had the MOST amount of Shannon's kids on it. Including the most amount from Shannon's BEST recruiting class. This year was Golden's BEST record, and had the LEAST amount of Shannon's players on it. What is killing this team right NOW, is Shannon's LAST class, and the transition 2011 class which was a catastrophe.

If i try to play my sister in a game of flag football im sure id win 100% of the time. You know our schedule is crap. Getting drubbed in ACC play by Duke and VT and the great coronation of UL.

People were always enamored with his size, but his on field results have been mediocre at best.

The doom and gloomers will see this as some kind of referendum on Golden, no doubt.

Luckily you and the other hilariously ignorant Golden supporters are here to blindly support the man til the bitter end in the face of overwhelming evidence.

This group the last 5 months.

What a stupid post.

I guess I get it. If every piece of news isn't spun into something negative, then I must be a Golden slurper and blindly loyal.

No nuance allowed in these parts. Everything is black and white. Golden is the WOAT, and if you don't agree, you are a stupid Golden loyalist. Brilliant.

Super fan. Go get em tiger.

Incoming senior, who's in the 2 deep, transfers and the best you can come up with is, "he wasnt that good anyways."

Go find a bridge

Stay classy guy.

No, sir. It's still Shannon's fault even though Fat Al's glorious recruits can't beat out Shannon's guys. Makes sense. I still think it's Coker's fault.

The same people telling the "slurpers" to settle down, that "the seniors returning and not entering the draft had nothing to do with approving of the staff" are now pouncing on the Bunche situation as a chance to clobber Golden. Called the Seniors "robots" and in no way indicated approval of the current state of the program.

You can't have it both ways.

Kids transfer from every program, every year, for different reasons. We move on.

How could it not be? The ship is sinking and the golden apologist try to spin all the bad news into "that's ok... we'll move on and be better for it."

This has nothing to do with whether Bunche can play or not. It had to do with the currents state of affairs at UM. Recruits dropping like flies, current players upset - some transferring, half the BOT and administration being against golden / half on his side. On and on and on.

Don't be all high and mighty and thumb your nose to me because you view everything in a half glass full manner. Good for you. I tried that under Coker & Shannon. I tried ignoring the truth. I won't go down that road again.

Case in point. Forgot the players that are draft eligible, returning for their Sr. season.

Bunche is a big lurch with awful disconnect between his lower and upper body and virtually nothing you look for in an offensive lineman other than size and effort. He always gave a nice effort.

I've been happy to be the chairman of the anti-Bunche campaign ever since I first saw him at the spring game a few years ago. He was touted on Canes message boards during that spring. I expected to see a talented athlete, not a hopeless klutz. Guys like that have no business on the field at Miami. I described Bunche a few months ago as the A.J. Highsmith of offense...a regulator. I can't believe anyone will miss him, other than his no doubt solid contributions off the field.

After watching Bunche in that spring game, I remember posting on Canesport and comparing him to Reggie Youngblood. It wasn't a compliment. Neither one had any threat of knee bend or agility. Youngblood was slightly better than Bunche, who in turn was superior to Jermaine Johnson, another overmatched player who was somehow touted on Canes boards during spring. There really needs to be some type of oversight on who is allowed to hype offensive linemen during spring practice. They generally have no clue. I was shocked when I watched Flowers in spring 2012 and he could actually play. I guess the touters couldn't whiff every swing.

Someone in the thread nailed it. I'm convinced Golden told Bunche he wouldn't start minus waves of injuries and/or unexpected departures. It was scary to see Bunche's name listed as a projected starter here as recently as last night.

Gadbois is the guy on the spot. He has the talent but needs to mature. Feliciano can play RT but I'd rather he stay inside.

Didn't realize what a mammoth Gadbois is until recently. Does he have the feet to play the position? If so he and Flowers could be some pretty serious bookends on that line.

A senior who would have saw major PT transfers? Not good. He was a solid OL. Love how kids who played behind him are all of sudden better.

semi-related topic, but don't be surprised if KC McDermott starts at tackle from Day 1 and never looks back. One of the most talented OL recruits in recent memory, if not ever. He's that good.

I would be surprised. Kid has great upside, but Im not sure he's ready to start as a true Frosh. Guess we will see how fast he picks things up in the Spring. I think he could use a year in the Weight room to really solidify. Has the potential to be a monster.

Bunche saw his reps disappear late, taken by Wheeler. ****, at one point they started Flowers, Feliciano, McD, Wheeler, Linder....the dude was 3rd off the bench by the end of the year. His reps were even taken by Isidora (off foot surgery) when he got back. Like I said, I questions a lot of this staff's choices but did anyone watch the film on this kid or even watch him play? We won't miss him.

ehhh, mixed feeling here....
The kid had talent but he couldnt find a position. Not flexible enough to be a tackle, and just wasnt that great a guard. Dont even get me started on having him to pull on running plays.....
The thing is that while he wasnt great at either position he was still a solid swing OL. This hurt but not that bad....

That's some real talk right there.
