And much better. That’s a very rare combination, running, receiving, passing. It’s a South Florida athlete thing. Denard was special for a couple of years and Malachi can be every bit of that but I don’t think you can take him away from receiver.

Next years QB has to be a true dual threat to maximize every bit of this offense. Sure Beck has been very good but having to worry and prep for a dual running, passing threat plus Malachi and company. That’s a nightmare for every college defenses considering the athletes we can get and the dominant o lines we will continue to have year after year!

Agree.

Like, Toney should always get 5-10 snaps a game at QB the rest of the time he is here. Could do some cool, creative stuff on offense if the QB split out wide was actually a threat to run or catch a pass.

Was hilarious that The Narduzzi basically had a corner playing press man on Beck split out wide yesterday though.

He's a better QB AND a better WR than Denard "shoelace" Robinson.

We're talking about baby Jesus right now....

Toney is a way better WR right now than Robinson ever was.

I think people were more wowed that he didn’t tie his shoes than him being some crazy superstar player

This kid and JS shockingly last year are the first two dudes who have been absolutely hyped up as the next best thing…. And they were absolutely ******* right and maybe still undersold. This offense literally runs through that young man

Robinson was very good, especially playing for Rich Rod in that offense. But he ran the ball so much that he was hurt every season. If Toney is a QB full time and taking all the hits that Robinson took, Toney would also be injured every season.

Never saw Dernard run routes like Mali does at 18 years old. I honestly don’t even know where Mali goes from here. I guess work on his strength and speed? There are always refinements to route running and releases, too. But, he plays football like he’s been watching it for 50 years. He caught a short pass yesterday, felt the defender behind him, attacked the ball and turned correctly to lose the defender. It’s like another sense.
