Day one of ACC Media Days wrapped up yesterday afternoon, and the Miami Hurricanes were the first team to talk to the media as Mario Cristobal brought three leaders to the table: Darian Mensah, Mohamed Toure, and Mark Fletcher.

Cristobal praised Hurricanes' rising sophomore wide receiver Malachi Toney, stating he has put on twelve pounds of muscle this offseason, adding a bigger frame to his body: "He’s been raised to do things the right way. He’s a pro. Him being 18 years old doesn’t make sense. Since the day he’s walked in the building he’s approached it like a veteran, and he doesn’t relent. He’s 12 pounds heavier, is faster, more explosive.”

You probably hear this more than enough on the CIS website: He is just a straight-up badass. Toney is one of, if not the most electrifying player in all of college football. His playmaking ability to make people miss and to get into open space is what stands out the most about his game.

He had an incredible first year, playing in all 16 games for the Hurricanes. He recorded a total of 1,212 receiving yards, while adding 10 touchdowns and averaging 11.1 yards per reception. Toney is already seeing his name pop up for the Heisman Trophy. FanDuel SportsBook and many other betting sites have Toney as one of the favorites to received the trophy.

With Toney adding weight to his frame, he is now set to have another big season with the Hurricanes and will likely be the No. 1 target on the field again.
