Make Your Argument: Ray Lewis as DC

Ray loves the program enough that he'd go double agent on Richt and the defense would turn into a laughingstock. Or you know, he could try his best and that'll still be the case. Either way Richt would be out so I'm all for this, OP.

Here is what Butch Davis said about Dorsey

“Having Kenny here is a really good thing for our athletic department,” Davis said. “He will have a role helping us offensively, watching film. He’s going to look at what we’re doing in practice and what we can do better.”

Cool. When does he get to call his first play?

Probably the dumbest fckn argument.

Tell me. How many plays did Sean McVay call as a TE coach before he took over as the Redskins OC in 2014?

Actually as matter of fact, I'll wait for your majority example list of position coaches that called a single play before they got promoted to a coordinator position.

Great idea. Let's throw him right into the fire and see if he is any good at it or not.

I don't even know how to respond to this.
Here, let me try this......."are you serious?"

Let me help you out. I will give you an example that you can relate too. The “Turnover Chain” did we get more national attention (in the media, with recruits, and etc.) because of it? Why? Because it was different?

Lol those without vision usually slander ideas that they can’t grasp. It’s a defense mechanism.

They are the same ones who jump on the bandwagon when the idea succeeds.

While people with dumb ideas disappear when the idea blows up in their face.

You mean the Turnip Chain that took us to a magisterial 7-5 season?
That's the kind of splash I hear in the office bathroom.

I really wish yall would stop w this former player should be our coach ****.
Being a great player doesn't automatically mean he is a great teacher and will be able to do all the other things that being a COORDINATOR entails.

I don't disagree. My point was giving talents like his a look because he was a coach on/off field.

Remember at Baltimore, they allowed him to be be the on-field DC.

Obviously Ray Lewis isn't going to be Miami's next DC.

Can he truly.be better/worse than tje names already being tjrown about?

Time will tell.

Lol at you clowning the Turnover chain because I gave you an example of how marketing works with media coverage they guy can’t argue against.

Now you want to pretend that you don’t have Turnover chain paraphernalia, or that you were not rooting for it to make an appearance this year and last, or that you didn’t want Diaz to leave because our defense was our strongest phase of our team.

Yeah right you don’t like the Turnover chain.

Your argument loses all credibility when you pretend like everyone UM fan wasn’t rooting for the hype that the Turnover over chain brings.

I’m done with this conversation. Can’t debate with that state of denial and silliness

He would be a killer DC. I could see our DL knifing though the OL to the QB. Our DBs slashing their to get a pick. Our LBs would cut on a dime to go after ballcarriers. Would be glorious.

I've been following the Canes since the mid1970s, I don't need a stupid piece of oversized jewelry to keep me interested in program......the best form of marketing a sports team is to provide a very good product....win games and contend for championships.....even moreso in a shty sports area like FtLaud/Miami....hiring so-called big names and/or former Cane greats has nothing to.do with winning.
