Major Applewhite (not Kiffin) to Houston

If Lame ***** this up, with what Herman left behind, then he can kiss any major head coach job goodbye forever.

That is going to be a disaster. The minute he steps foot on campus, he'll be looking to move on to something bigger and better

it's houston what do you expect? especially with no big 12 invite no successful coach is going to be looking to stay there long term, this is not a bad hire for that program.

If Kiffin f's this up, he's straight garbage. He's walking into a pretty cherry situation. That team has talent that's head and shoulders above a majority of their conference, their administration is serious about football and he's got a chance to capitalize on recruiting right away with Texas, TCU, Baylor and Tech all sucking currently. Even A&M has been up and down. He just has to keep the ship pointed in the right direction.

Aside from Tony Levine, Houston's had, Art Briles, Kevin Sumlin, Tom Herman and now Lane Kiffin. I think they're fine with being a stepping stone if it means winning 9-12 games every year.

That seems like a great fit for him to revive his HC career. They are on the up and up, can recruit some big boys but arent considered a big time program. He will have a longer leash compared to a Power 5 IMO. Well, maybe the oil money speaks loud there..

Interested to see how he does.

They also finished 4th in the AAC West this year. Now, to be fair, the AAC West was rated better than the SEC East, but still.

You guys may not realize this, but there's actually a precedent for a team doing well with changing coaches every few years.

Lol...what could go wrong with hiring a lazy, entitled coRch with limited facilities and less clout than he had at the other plane crashes he piloted

If your going to coach a non p5 team, Houston is arguably the best one to coach
