Main issue with not recruiting a QB

Jimmy Johnson was not limited to 85 total scholarships. Just throwing a scholarship at some mediocre QB recruit for depth purposes isn't an option these days.

Never thought of that , good point hmmmm.

Not getting a QB this year sucks. After Stefan told us Oklahoma leads for McIntosh, we're talking about taking one RB. Same thing at WR if we can't get Haselwood to flip. So.. We're talking about signing 1 RB, 1 WR & 0 QB. Something just isnt right here.

On paper we have enough depth but fast forward to next year and if williams is named the starter we could be Nebraska as it is likely that Weldon and Perry will transfer. These kids do not want to sit and wait if another opportunity will open up.

So why would both transfer and not maybe one of them? That would be pretty dumb for both guys to leave. All it takes is an injury to Williams and one of them could be starting.

We made a preferred walk-on offer to Yakkov Rachmonis Goldstein, a little undersized but very high football IQ, natural passer, big Chutzpah. We had considered giving him a scholarship, but it turns out he's Orthodox and can't play on Saturdays.
