Mack Brown

Personally, I hope they keep Mack around for as long as he wants to be around.

I actually think UNC will take football quite seriously in the post-Mack era because of realignment conversations and the need to position themselves as a winner. The have the resources to be a legitimate NIL competitor and the Carolinas + DMV area is pretty fertile recruiting grounds.

I don't view them as national title contenders or a true threat to us if Mario's momentum continues. But I can see them overtaking Louisville + NC State and making FSU + Clemson sweat it as the 2nd best team in the ACC.
100%

When they hired Fat Mack, I figured it was a minimum 3, maximum 4 year scenario designed to put the program on stable ground. That was accomplished. We're now in year 6.

But I want them to extend him. He deserves it.

When VT isn't recruiting well in Virginia (and they're not right now), UNC has yet another built-in advantage, on top of the fact that their in-state bias rivals that of UiF's.

They are a better coach away (at all times) from being a consistent 9-10 game winner rather than 7 or 8.

Understandable

What Manny did to us from a recruiting standpoint took 3 years to fix and I kinda hate him for it still
Many Diaz is the only "Cuban" who can't speak Spanish and has never had a croqueta. Add to that he lost to FIU on the hallowed ground of the OB site, and I can't stand him. F him and Mack Brown.

What would you say was the worst thing that he did from a recruiting standpoint? I know that he wasn’t able to bring in many blue chip linebackers and was unable at point to recruit cornerbacks at all - is this what you are referring to?

I thought I remembered Manny throwing Richt under the bus there at the end of the Richt era no? Either way, I'll be rooting for Duke since we play them and not UNC.

I cannot believe we do not have UNC on the schedule this year. Maybe Mack is nervous that it’s a certainty Manny gets his long awaited revenge this Saturday and holds him against his will after the game.
wait a sec...Manny, beat Mack Brown? hahahahaha

Mack Brown offered to resign because he wants to quit. He's 73. He's on his 3rd starting QB in 4 games. And his defense just gave up 70 to James Madison.

He wants out.

In the Matt Rhule thread, I was thinking of other coaches that are way worse. Mack Brown is the answe
Who is worse than Matt Rhule? Mack Brown, no doubt.

F Sandy Fleaz.

I don't want to see him have any level of success. So I hope Mack spanks his *** on more time and grabs his nutz post game and brings Fleaz to his knees
