Lyle

My post is assuming Fletcher leaves
I like Brown, i think he's solid, but not as a two deep. Part of the running problem is him running straight into the center. He lacks vision.

If Lyle leaves we have:
Pringle
Brown
Wheatley Huntley
Mallory

Not great imo. Lets stop wishcasting Lyle leaves. He needs to stay and get better
Fletcher has no business leaving. Probably make more $ at Miami next year. He isn't good enough to go pro

I wanna see Lyle run behind the same blocking schemes… I think he can still be an impact player if used properly.
Exactly. Most of Lyle’s carries were on duo scheme still. I wonder if his attitude has soured and that’s why he didn’t play

Them switching out RBs is frustrating. Pick one and let the kid work. RBs develop there vision, timing and confidence through play. Switching em out won’t allow them to develop.

It’s like they’re worried about keeping them happy. Mcgahee had to sit behind Portis, Gore had to sit behind Mcgahee… and they all thrived when their time came

You are using late 90s/early 2000 logic “let them sit and earn it” to an NIL landscape. It doesn’t work. And coaches rotate EBs everywhere. Look at the NCAA rushing leaders. They are far far away for the 1990s stats.

Yeah we didn’t help him out much. What we have run today looks good. Guys out in front blocking, pullers, and motion pre snap. Before, we were just running up the Centers *** every snap and hoping for the best. **** was unwatchable

If Lyle leaves we will be pretty thin at RB next year and will have to pray for a good portal addition. Hopefully he sees it through and gets better next year because we'll need him for depth at the very least
Fletcher is coming back , Pringle , Brown , hump , kid coming in . How are we thin if fletch comes back ?

We need to account for the opponent here. NC State was horrendous at defending the run. The RBs patience was key, let the blocks develop and follow them.
There’s no way they changed blocking schemes and I doubt they implemented a bunch of new plays. I think they just executed better, the RBs followed their blockers, and NC State just wasn’t up to it.

I hope we’ve found our offense. We’ll see

The STA coaches told Mario after last season that Lyle wasn't happy with his playing time last year and to play him more or he will transfer. Therefore, I will be surprised if he is on the team next year. Watch, he ends up where all Miami players that transfer usually go to

I like to think Pringle is more explosive with better vision . He found the holes when some of our other have tried to pound it the a gap regardless.

What game were you watching talking about they didn’t change the blocking scheme or implemented new plays?! We were just running up the centers butt all season and blaming our backs and line for not blocking into 9 man fronts up the gut! We literally had linemen pulling and lead blocking and doing misdirection and outside runs and presnap movements to keep the defenses honest! We even had the TE in the slot to spread them out! C’mon Mrs Cristobal, stop the cap!
