Neither he or Miami would be interested in each other.

He’s lived, played & coached in the state of Ohio for his entire life, literally never left Ohio, so there’s no scenario where he just up & leaves a place he’s spent over 40 years of his life to come to a program like Miami.

Even in the off chance he does leave Cincinnati, it wouldn’t be to Miami FL, it would be somewhere close to Ohio/Midwest. A hypothetical situation would be if James Franklin leaves Penn St, a guy like Fickell would be someone who’s high on their list to replace Franklin.

Plus, we would never even consider him.

Just curious here, why would we not consider him. Does he have some baggage?

Maybe but there is a younger model employed there as HC. I highly doubt they will move on from Ryan Day in the near future.

Perhaps Luke needs to consider another dream.

Great coach. Zero chance he winds up at Miami. Different guy destined for a different job. Don't see him being a cultural fit or wanting to sign up for the experience in Coral Gables.

Nope. The admin wouldn't even give a guy like Fickell a call and I think that's an issue within itself which was why I asked. I just wanted to confirm.

Agreed, the dude and his wife have 6 kids in school. He’s a Midwesterner, he ain’t packing up 6 crumb snatchers and a wife and move to Miami.
