That’s great. Back in the 70’s guys would make runs down to the docks in Miami. Getting baggies of weed, $15 for Mex, &25 for Colombian. Seemed pretty expensive back then😂, who knew. S**t was wide open back then. Weed was King, Coke hadn’t ruined Miami yet.

I live in California now. What is truly mind boggling is that weed prices today are cheaper than they were in the 90's and the potency is stronger....and that's without adjusting for inflation!

Curious - did the weed from the docks also come in a tiny manila envelope baggy?

No, when I said baggy I mean Sandwich baggy, And mostly Buds. Like I said, it was wide open. A brave new World. Played softball with Cops back then. Everyone smoked before, during , after games. And, Coral Gables Cops were pretty cool with the student body when we were out and about. Not that they didn’t bust our balls, but always sent us back to campus with a Do Not Return Tonight warning. Things were pretty chill. Maybe it was the cheap Weed😹

When I was in high school you either had “Crippie/Crypto” or “Regs/Schwag” $50 for an 8th of good weed was a lot of money when you made $5 an hour.

In college I learned about different strains. I would always laugh at the corny weed dealers trying to pass off purple buds as some kind of special thing. Whoever was growing it messed up the timer on his lights during flowering and the plant got too much or too little light. I only know that from Discovery Channel. I have no actual experience with growing weed or doing drugs

I'm not sure that the ingredients inside the minala envelopes were even weed. More like what we would refer to as shake. There always were seeds in there too.

I imagine you've seen Square Grouper (the movie) before, no? Maybe even seen one floating, given your time in Miami.

Exactly! That **** was dirt weed in the manilla baggies. Remember when someone had the hookup on red hair cincimila? That was the good stuff before Crippies
