LSU's QB Performance 0 TDs and 45.8% Completion Percentage

Nah. You can't pin all the blame on Rosier when countless pass plays were destined to fail from the moment they were designed. For every open receiver he missed there were plays where LSU had a pass rush numbers advantage, 5-7 step drop 4-verts plays with no safety valve against the LSU blitz, plays where the primary read was a low% sideline throw against solid press corners.

Coaches have to coach to their personnel. Richt knows Malik has accuracy issues and he knows the LSU defense is good. He still designed an offense that requires receivers winning 1on1 isolated matchups and accurate vertical passing. Those are inherently low% plays thus you achieve 15/35 passing. Until Richt overhauls his philosophy and system this will continue to be a low% passing game regardless of who is QB. That's the sobering thought that many fans are ignoring.

My man, you get it. Richt is basically asking Rosier to make the throws that open up after you've established a rushing attack and short throws. Do those things and everyone bites on the fake handoff, underneath routes, and your guy one on one has no help and got shook.

We're basically trying to reinvent the wheel by doing it all backwards.

Richt is also asking Rosier to complete routine passes to wide open receivers, which he is unable to do consistently.

If we could get Thomas isolated on a Quarters or Cover 3 safety down the field a few times a game the offense would break school records. But like you said there's no credible run threat and the stationary spread alignment of the receivers allows the defense to dictate matchups in their favor.

You can be a pro-style vertical passing offense and still incorporate motion, screens and diverse formations. Sean Payton and the Saints are a great example. Unfortunately Richt is not a student of the game at all.

The 48% is also misleading. Their receivers straight up dropped at least 3-4 passes that would have been completed otherwise.

If they would have counted the 3 passes Rosier completed to the fans in Section H on various 3rd downs, I'm pretty sure he would be closer to 60% on his passes

The audacity of that notion is perplexing...expect your QB to complete passes to wide open receivers?...

Who is gonna throw to Thomas so he can break all these records?

Burrow is garbage. Their fans will be saying the same things about him as they lose 3-4 games.

Granted, he did call one great audible, which proves he had a better understanding of the game than our QB.....so there's that.
First of all, trashing Burrow doesn't make me feel good about us, rather is indicates we are in hurting status. Also if you consider that Burrow hasn't started for a whole year like Rosier, then it exposes a number of problems with our team. I honestly believed that Rosier was going to improve this year, but it seems that's not the case. When you say they will lose 3 or 4 games and you look at their schedule... that's not bad for a qb without too much experience. Fvck lsu and let's fix our problems.

Anyone?

K maybe Kirby Freeman couldn't manage but we're talking huge throwing windows on these plays as described. The ineffectiveness of the run game is more of a hindrance than Rosier is for that to happen. Compare our run game to the Eagles, OSU, OU, heck even VT and you'll quickly realize how basic and simple it is to stop. OSU in particular does a great job of using pro run concepts with motion and constraints, and then they annihilate these slow Big 10 teams with vertical shots off play action to their (inferior) Jeff Thomas types. Recall the last time they had a QB who could throw they won a title.

Let’s not let the D off the hook either especially the DL. We were unable to get consistent pressure on the QB unless we were blitzing. I keep waiting for JoeJax to take the next step but looks like I will have to keep on waiting. Willis is far and away our best player on that line.....

That's all well and good OP. But what was the final score on the scoreboad?

If we didn't take it upon ourselves to lose the game we wouldve easily blown LSU out and their fans wouldve been saying the same thing about Burrow as we're saying about Rosier.

Hilarious that our QB managed to put up a worse performance than that.... Secondary play in terms of pass coverage was elite even without Bandy. Even w/ Diaz's crap our defense really played well if you remove that 50 yard TD run and untimely penalties.

Rosier and Feagles are the reason we lost... but even w/ Feagles shanking negative yard punts, thats an easy win w/ Cade Weldon or Jarren Williams behind center.

Yes, but Richt likes consistency.

Well actually there really was a TD pass by LSU. Jamar Chase caught it and actually scored but LSU ran the ball before a review could be made. The ball was at the 1 and Brossette scored but the replay shows a TD catch.

I have to say that yoy boys are delusional. LSU beat you. Period.

Wtf are you talking about? THEY PLAYED MAX PROTECTION ALMOST THE ENTIRE GAME BECAUSE THEY COULDN’T PLAY US 1 v.1

no, we punched our selves repeatedly until severe brain damage occurred. Watch the tape...your bayou kitty kats had no business being on the same field as us let alone winning that game. If you’re even smart enough to know what you’re watching...nice overrated Secondary btw. I wish all the secondaries were that easy for our WR’s to tear up.

After that performance on Sunday, Miami had no business being on the field with LSU. But keep spinning how Miami was the better team.

At the end of the day, I see is 33-17
