Your right my bad ......was thinking of someone else.But TAF has the money if they want to do it.They were willing to pay Jimbo's which was a lot more until the Governor stepped in because they had just laid off a bunch of teachers.

LSU is a very wealthy school and those coon asses aren't going to keep losing no matter what it cost.

Buyouts mean nothing to LSU and much of the SEC if you're losing to Troy. For all his faults, Miles didn't leave the cupboard that bare. If he loses to Troy, this season is in the tank and so is the program. They'll lose more leaving him @ the helm.

That's correct regarding the football program's profit but look at the athletic department's bottom line, ~11 million. Regardless, they could still certainly buyout the contract but that will be a PR issue. As others have mentioned, that state is laying off teachers so a 12 million buyout will look awful. For that reason, I think he's getting another season. How did he get that contract?

TAF has more money than they know what to do with.Trust when I say they will not worry about another buyout if O loses 4-5 games this year.If the state wasn't in such bad shape Jimbo would be the coach now cause his buyout had been ok'd but the Governor stepped in and threaten to pull all the state money if they did it because they had just had a major teacher layoff at the school and closed a whole bunch of sports down at their satellite schools like UNO...

And I'll bet the Governor won't be a deterrent again cause a lot of his biggest supporters are part of TAF and we're ****ed when he stepped in the last time.
