LSU Looking to hire Blake Baker *Update* BAKER TO LSU

That’s why I was so confident there’d be changes with play calling. I’ve posted this before but I was told after year one manny was very unimpressed with BB, to the point he’d pulled the trigger then if not for already firing the offensive staff. He’s been baby sitting him two years. That was enough.

so why does manny keep failing on his hires? Isn’t that a concern also?

He tried to get them all jobs. T-Rob and Jess are legit. Now we are moving in right direction. Manny clearly has something on oregeron hahaha
remember Ed O left a lot of garbage here, a lot, some of which he might not remember due to the excessive drinking. there could be some evidence that he doesn't like. and remember, Ed O's wife just got up and left him after reaching the pinnacle of his career.

just sayin'

It never ceases to amaze me that some posters on this site are so dense that they think it's perfectly legitimate to criticize Diaz for not dumping both his entire offensive and defensive staff after his first season. Is it fair to criticize the initial hires? Yes, that's fair game. He's a rookie coach and made bad choices. Is it fair to criticize him for not having 100% turnover of the staff after year 1? No. That's a stupid criticism. He fixed the biggest problem first and then he moved on to the second part. 4 out of 5 coaches on defense now gone. So if my math is correct, that's 10 out of 11 new coaches between year one and year three. You can't fault the guy for trying to fix his mistakes.

And not firing Baker was plain good business. Not only did it turn out to be a financially savvy move and save the school hundreds of thousands of dollars, but other coaches take notice that Diaz does right by his people and tries to give them a chance to save face if things go bad.

Manny already showed us he doesn’t think his system is the issue

So for everyone thinking we bring in a highly regarded DC to run their own system is chasing fools gold

If Baker leaves, Manny will promote Patke or bring in a lower level LB coach to run his system
Please keep talking out of your **** about things you have no idea about, it’s a wonderful cacophony of failure for the lucid and realistic to indulge in.

This is why you don’t hire first time coaches at a school like UM. The day manny was hired I said this was lazy hire and a typical Miami hire. Now we’ll have to sit back and have to deal with his making mistakes learning how this works. But it’s definitely a red flag he’s moving on from so many coaches. But to his defense great staffs aren’t lining up for newbie head coaches unless there’s big big money being thrown around.

I would say blah blah blah but then you would find your post where you did and then tell me to STFU.

Nice call and I am glad Manny is doing what needs to be done. With our luck lately we will still suck and then he will have five LB drafted in the first round lol

The "I told you this was happening" posts are the lamest sh*t on this site. Bro, let me be the first to congratulate you on your chat board mastery. We can never hold a candle to that level of insight

So in summary: Baker gone, Miami saved 700k, mopes need to STFU and stop acting like jilted teenage girls just because things don't happen immediately.

How many posts before some dummy says that Diaz and Miami don't deserve any credit for playing this exactly right and they just got lucky?

Exactly. These morons don't understand that this was absolutely a boss level move by Diaz. By making an underperforming coach on his staff less empowered, he was able to force that coach out the door without actually firing him. While at the same time not expending any capital of his own with his current employer. Chess not Checkers, dummies!!
