LSU lack of offensive experience

And we played Notre Dame at home, in a frenzied atmosphere, after Gameday was on campus. This isn't apples to apples. Miami was on fire that night, and it didn't help that Wimbush missed a wide open TD on the first drive of the game and then was a complete and total embarrassment the rest of the night. I was there, and I've watched the game no fewer than 5 times since. Miami was electric. But ND, Wimbush in particular, was about as bad as he could've possibly been. He was 1000% intimidated.

That won't happen on a neutral field Sunday night. You guys have to start thinking intelligently and realize each game is completely independent of any others. Especially when they don't even take place in the same state, they're 11 months later, and they're many different kids.

Hopefully we use the strategy that teams used on us at the end of the year . We need to take away the run and make Burrow show us he can beat us with his arm. Respect is earned he’s gonna have to show us something until then stack the box

You're not buying into that Brian Kelly atmosphere, "If we played Miami at a neutral field we would have won" BS are you?

We were clearly better than them, and that game showed what this team is capable of when reasonably healthy and clicking.
 
Using LSU's offensive numbers from 2017 is pointless. Almost every single player who did anything on offense for them last season is gone. New QB, new RB, new WR, new OC. The only receiver they have who has caught more than one pass in a college game did it at Texas Tech two years ago. IMO, Diaz needs to attack this team the same way he did Notre Dame. Focus squarely on stopping the run until Burrow proves he can beat you throwing consistently. Miami's defense struggled occasionally against fast paced teams that spread them out and peppered them with short passes. That's the opposite of what LSU does on offense. I just don't see them being able to score a lot against our defense. As long as the offense doesnt' turn the ball over and give away points, This one should be simple. Someone earlier said first team to 24 wins and I agree. Except I don't see any way LSU score 24 points unless they have a pick six and/or kick return touchdown. If Miami goes up two scores early, it's in the books. If Miami comes out sluggish on offense, it'll be a slugfest.

This. The TE is the only player on the current LSU roster to score a TD in an LSU jersey.

Basically this but I'm moreso talking about how both of those teams controlled the LOS against us and made our team look flat.

Clemson definitely controlled the LOS vs us last year but I wouldnt Necessarily say FSU did. We blocked them good mostly on passing plays and i think our running game or lack thereof was due more to playing a hurt walton and not putting travis homer in there in that particular game
 
Everyone is overthinking this "inexperience" thing. Yeah, it'll play a factor but a small one, they've got top quality talent.

This game comes down to putting Burrow on his a$$ early and often.

LSU doesn't have enough talent to be worried about them

Wimbush can't throw and the defense forced the game in his hands and he couldn't do it.

Watch that first half against them again. We werent able to do anything against FSU. 67 yards and 0 points in the first half. Our longest run play was from Homer and that was in the 4th.

I said Why the running game was bad imo which was walton playing hurt, malik was bad malik too but showed up in the second half though.

Even during the Les years when they had 'good' offenses, they weren't that good and rode their Defense to victory. This year, their Offense is flat our garbage and that is going to cost them all season.

Yep. Only way we lose is if either Rosier has a horrible game or Diaz plays a soft zone and allows Burrow to become the second coming of Drew Brees.

Not disagreeing but my point still stands; we need to control the LOS and get the run game going.

I was going to say that but i decided to sit back and keep my mouth shut so thanks for throwing that out there for me... Im not talking anymore about this because i am sure this game can go either way but talking to people who think their team is invincible is just flat out annoying just like some of these idiots on TD who think we will dominate. There are good fans on this board that at least act like they have a brain and some just think Miami should just get a pass to the the NCG

When both fan bases are saying this needs to happen early to Burrow and Malik this is when you know it is going to be a defensive war from **** which is going to make one **** of a game.... Good luck to you fellas (And i dont mean that in a ****y ignorant way)
