LSU hiring Scott Linehan to replace Brady

I really have no interest in mind f--cking LSUs staff, but they're hiring the guy as a "passing game coordinator" I think he's a good value in that role.

I am more confused by the Pelini move.

Why? Pelini is a well respected defensive coach...he may be a hard *** and has some issues but he's a good defensive coach.

Linehan was fired from Dallas because their offense was garbage. They struggled to score more than 20 ppg despite having an excellent OL, RB, WRs, and a decent QB. He also was criticized for having an incredibly predictable offense. This is a huge downgrade from Brady.
The cowboys WRs were a question mark..they just got Amari. They had no TE..and Dak wasn’t decent..he was average at best..this is a great hire assuming the talent drop off isn’t as steep as it could be. If there’s a drop and there will be, it gonna be on the personel that’s not returning

He isn’t calling plays at LSU. Brady didn’t even call plays at LSU

I don't think he's the direction I'd have gone following Aranda who I think showed an elite ability to adapt and adjust, even within games. But again, I'm not going to mind**** LSUs staff.

I see your reasoning here...but LSU has superior personnel, and pellini is a **** good coach, albeit stubborn.

Agreed!!!

This.

I'm rather surprised LSU didn't bring in a more respected name, considering their coffers.

I hope no one is betting on LSU to repeat

It was kind of absurd that Orgeron even won one national title.

Lightning won't strike twice.

Actually, lightning already did strike if you go back to Gene Chizik's national title. But I don't think lightning will strike a third time.

Linehan is terrible and maybe the least innovative OC in the NFL. He's basically the opposite of Joe Brady.

You do realize CIS would absolutely melt down with rage if we had hired Linehan, right?

Eh, CIS has a way of praising every hire that Miami makes.

Until game 1 of the assistant coach's tenure.

To be quite honest, no. At LSU he doesn't need to reinvent the wheel. He'll have high end defensive players at every position.
They’re not as loaded as you think. They’re good, but they’re about even with 3 teams in their division and significantly lower than Alabaga. Same guys who think you can just plug any coaches in and out-talent opponents are the same guys complaining about our coaches fcking is up.
