Play Blount at DE on early downs and replace him with Lightfoot on 3rd down/obvious passing downs. Blount can kick inside or go get a breather on those downs.

Blount is not a tweener. Under Manny and prior staffs, maybe.

But this staff prefers size. Blount is what this staff is looking at DE-wise. He's too small IMO for DT.

Is Blount 280, he looks closer to 270? Regardless, Davis and Blount need to be closer to 290 if they are going to be an every down DT.

That means both of them have to add somewhere btw 35-45lbs out of high school, that’s a lot. But we will see what happens.

Blount was 17 coming out. He is more likely to add 35-45 than Lightfoot getting to 250-260 from 210.
