Love yall, words don’t do this justice and hoping this gets lost in the thread.

But looking at my life, feeling as though I’ve grown to a legitimate person, learned to deal with trauma, built a life (still working), built relationships.. it often felt hollow. Not only because of my infatuation with UM since 86 but because this program was the only thing I could latch onto as a kid, alone, without a father figure I could trust (was legit all I had for 12 years).

Then losing that trust via mismanagement, apathy, and indifference fractured a core that needed completeness / a partner. The grit this program instilled in me and what they’ve shown all playoffs is incredible and I’ll keep it with me for the rest of my life.

Finish the job 💚🧡

Some on here have been fans for 50+ yrs, others like myself 30+ yrs, & then we have a segment of fans/alumni that never seen us at this point. We’ve bickered and argued via 4 regimes, from coaching philosophies, evaluations, falling short on seasons, uniforms, etc. U name it, we’ve argued.

Y? B/c whether u’re a double alum, an alum, a drop out, have Miami pride, or grew up miles away but fell in love w this small private school, we ALL bleed orange & green.

I apologize to those who I’ve snapped on; from 2020-2025? Shiiiiid, it’s been the worst stretch in my personal life. Whatever could go wrong, did go wrong & this board was my outlet; but, if U annoyed me, then I’m sorry if the other side of my Aquarius came out which is WWIII (& trust WWIII Rell, well not even professional UFC fighters can handle him - true story). However, many of ya’ll uplifted me, & saying thank U doesn’t quite encompass my true feelings.

Perseverance is key; I’ve endure so much & every time it looks like walls were going to come in, I summoned my Samson-like strength to push through those walls. Starting last month, that storm passed in all areas of my life, & then here’s these Canes adding icing on this rebuilt cake. Taking about perseverance? This controversial team that some thought shouldn’t even be here?? Bull ****! Lol

It still doesn’t feel real that the next time I’ll see us play, it won’t be in Week 0, but 2 weeks for a Nat’l Title. I didn’t agree w Mario’s time line, & I still saw frustrating things this season, but this is not the same team from 2022 - mid 2025. I don’t care what happens on the 19th, the fact we have an opportunity to play for #6 while avenging losses to O$U, & the curse of the Fiesta Bowl is something I never imagined THIS season.

What a **** of a ride, & if u’ve been on CIS since Day 1, over 10 yrs, or if u just joined after being a long time lurker, we f’ing deserve this. Helluva ride & I’m glad to be on this ride w u all. It’s Great to Be A Miami Hurricane. 🧡💚

Love is a strong word considering the Geopolitics thread, but I'm glad we're all at least Hurricanes fans.
 
Been with all of you since the grassy/canestime days. It’s been a long, depressing, dry spell since the last time we were able to celebrate anything of any substance on our boards until now. So, to be where we are right now, after all years of heartbreak and false hope, is absolutely surreal. One more to go though. We’re not done yet. Let’s bring that NC trophy home where it belongs
