Their defense has been really good this year. Not sure if Ron English got an off-season lobotomy, but something is different. Pitt was able to hit some explosive pass plays against them before Narduzzi corched the game away. They play a ton of zone and can pressure the QB. If they have cleaned up their deep coverage, they could force Beck to be patient and dink and dunk down the field. Their rush defense numbers are a little deceiving, since they have defended RBs really well but struggled against Sluka at JMU and the backup QB at BG popped a meaningless 75 yard run late agaisnt them.

I expect them to try to run the ball a lot against us. Not sure they have any choice. Their OL has struggled to protect Moss and Moss has struggled to protect himself. Bad combo against our DL. All 3 of their RBs have been hurt. They will also be coming off a bye week, so their RBs will be as healthy as they have been all year. Limiting Bell will be key too. He abused Karnley last week against UVA.

FSU's entire offense was backyard football by castellanos. Brohm normally gives us fits but Heatherman completely shut down Malzaln's gimmicky offense. if thier QB is a statue, that plays right into our strength

Yup their defense seem to pop up a lot on pressure numbers posted here about our team.. they get after it and cause havoc, also if some remember they got to cam a few times last year and almost cause a fumble return to house that was called back.. will be a good challenge for oline

Just a quick stat check but it looks like Moss has been sacked 13 or 14x this year and as a team they have 25-30 TFLs against in their 5 games. 5 of the sacks came against the 85 Bears…..I mean UVA.

Also looks like he’s thrown pick 6’s in back to back weeks.

I watched them vs James Madison early in the season and they should have/could have lost that game. They’re not as good as they were last year and we’re better. We should win comfortably.
