Louisville v Boston College Game Thread

I can find an excuse for all but the VT game. Cal was basically playing at midnight for the players. Brohm is a top offensive coach, ST blunders and a turnover made it look worse than it was. VT was at home, only excuse is that the offense was bootycheeks in the first half and continuously put the defense in a bad position. D still should have been better though in the first half.
I dunno. The D at Louisville was bad. We were up 2 TDs with like 3 minutes to go and ended with a "thank god we fielded the onside kick, because we weren't stopping them if they got it” win. You take the win and move it along, but ****.

The D stinks, I was just trying to give people hope.

Until I read it this am I had forgotten they have a statue of Flutie throwing the Hail Mary.
What I’ve never understood is why? They’re thrown every year in CFB is not u heard of.

That is the plan. I watched some of their game at the bar in Louisville. Their WRs drop passes, they were open. Concern is clearly that - their WRs will be open, do they pull a it's their super bowl and actually catch them. If they do, what Miami tackling team plays tonight.

Still enough for us to win.

Yeah, I agree I'm depending on their WRs continuing to do what they have been doing, and their QBs to continue to treat the defense as additional WRs. If that doesn't happen, we'll have more of a game for certain.

Two can play that "if" game though. Imagine if our defense actually wrapped and didn't miss on tackles? Imagine if our DBs played assignment football and didn't get tricked on handoffs.

Not beating FSU by 4+ scores would be a shocker to me. But college football constantly shocks me. Hopefully not this game.

It was a superhuman feat of his time, considering his height challenge and the fact that he did it against the U. That put him next to some holy figures at BC…

I think this was in the 80s, maybe 90s they had an SNL skit of the amount of times they run the Doug Flutie hail mary highlight. Doug Flutie was sick of it but they kept showing the highlight everywhere. Funny sketch, I think it was the 80s
