Running duo all game is dumb AF.
Blitzing every down vs a team trying to throw it the second moss catches the ball is also dumb AF. Some have worked but many are just gimme first downs
 
19 yards rushing is pathetic. But watching the OL run block I believe it. Need to score first drive because you know Louisville going to script up a first drive and go down the field

1st and Goal from the 9 is our no man’s land. Cristobal wants to run the ball up the gut but that’s a big chunk of real estate.
 
Beck heard and saw that he wasn’t in first round discussions and now this is what happens when he forces it

I'm really hoping this year is it for Shannon Dawson, he's had some great moments but I'm firmly in the belief that our talent not his scheme that's been successful here. Our running scheme is just beyond basic, absolutely zero creativity where as Louisville has about 5 times more rushing yards with a worse OL.

All our runs are right up the middle to a stacked box waiting for the runner, not much they can do in that situation
 
Our running game is disappearing tonight due to Beck’s inability to connect on the long run and and take what the give him.

Does not look like a 3.5 million dollar QB tonight!
 
All things considered, a good response from our guys, especially on D. Some things we need to change going into the second.
  • We gotta focus on the short and intermediate passing game. We are killing them there. Get our TEs (LOFTON) more involved.

  • Miller Moss is a one-read QB. Every play is being telegraphed to get the ball out in two seconds. We need to be able to get there with our four guys on the DL.

  • Carson Beck has to stop overthinking and pre-determining his target. It's a miracle they have 0 points off of two TOs and they were basically punts.

  • They just collapse the middle of our OL because they know the run is going there. Run some stuff outside.

  • We need to run some playaction in the redzone. We're not doing anything to disguise the run or pass. Seriously, that redzone series was inside zone, shotgun, shotgun. They knew what was coming every time.

  • Need to wrap up and need more TFLs on first and second. Brohm is going to go for it anytime it's 4th & 4 or less in the second half.
