His defenses gave way to being unable to close gaps which lead often to long runs. His linebackers never really got better since they were freshman. His so called great defense rarely if ever played high caliber offenses so statistics were very good against very average teams period. God help what we saw against Wisconsin.

I will give you a reason Manny should be coach and that is he always was the spokesman for Richt at post practice interviews. He always took on questions from reporters. Be showed class and fortitude.
And BTW shame on those that do not give Saban some credit. It wasn't until he came in and establishred parameters for a team in disarray. And he was a good recruitor etc etc. History is all about this program and he was instrumental in keeping the program all but for the dead

saban actually got it rolling for howard .part of the foundation was laid howard finished it.
 
It's amazing mannys defense some say was terrible.hate to tell you our defense was a lot better under Manny than it was under dorito.ask Lincoln Riley if he'd love to have mannys defense.

We all know Donofrio was a joke . The point is our Defense sucked against LSU that was very revealung forget about when they lost to I think GT which everyone thought would not happen.

The bottom line Blake could have made the hire knowing the coaches that would have accepted the position were not his first choices and then hire Manny. Amateur stuff not what we need or want from our athletic director.

Regrettably, it is no longer a "fanbase," but a Herd of self-appointed, entirely unqualified critics, who see their job as tearing down every facet of UM's football program.

With those critics eviscerating the program 24 hours a day, seven days a week and telling the college football world that the University of Miami Football Program is lower than refried **** doesn't make recruiting challenging...it makes regularly attracting quality recruits an impossibility.

Manny's biggest hurdle isn't hiring great assistant coaches; his biggest challenge is to find a way to shove an enormous sock in the never shut mouths of the 'we hate everything UM football' HERD!

And like clockwork, a HERD member decides to start a thread today claiming the Manny Diaz hire is the worst hire in the history of the program.

That same football genius compares Coach Diaz to Willie Taggert claiming he is on Taggert's level.

Hard to believe that quality recruits aren't crawling over one another begging to join the Canes when considering how the HERD views everything Canes football.

FIRE THE HERD!!!

Too funny so it must be these same fans that got us the #8 class im 2018.

Proving it wasn't Mark Richt's fault! It was the HERD (your kind) who started tearing down Mark Richt and the entire football program, which destroyed this year's recruiting class. Until the Herd is put out of business Miami football will remain in a down trend.
