Lots of shoulder injuries

Sit EVERYONE vs Central Michigan. Mensah is banged up too.
Agreed…. Go with Mallory,Pringle and Hellcat at RB and rest anyone else that is banged up with injuries that could linger. Watched Central Michigan win a death struggle with Colgate a couple of weeks ago and they are God awful on offense.

Play Mensah so he can develop some chemistry with other WRs, or at least reignite his chemistry with Barkate. We'll need it down the stretch. Also, with Lofton. We need to go out there without Toney and Fletcher and win a game.

He has plenty of chemistry with Barkate, we just don’t run plays for the guy! Dawson’s offense is overusing the slot guy. Barkate had 3 targets and two were on dum *** screens! Crazy!! Don’t tell me he’s not getting open. He’s just NOT the primary or secondary target on any plays. Saw him on the sidelines malcontent MULTIPLE TIMES & I don’t blame him. Every year no matter who is at that spot, they just don’t get looks. It’s a serious flaw in this offense.

Actually he was gettin locked up pretty good. A coupe times Mensah looked his way and he wasn’t open. Those types of thing are much easier to see in person.

It’s up to the wr to get open and the qb to find him. Who gets targeted also depends on the defense and qb reads. This game Mensah was being pressured more than usual so I don’t think he had time to go through his progressions like he had prior games.

We don’t scheme him open. We don’t run easy routes that can’t be defended out wide 1v1 at all

That’s what I’m saying. The primary and secondary read are never the WR on the wide side in Dawson’s scheme

OJ
Moten
Fletcher
Toney
Moore

What’s going on here?
Should injuries in football are usually a combination of things.

Didn't train the muscles well enough, this includes standard weights, sport specific scapular and flexibility.
Poor tackling habits of over extending arms and reaching, or just only using arms or not cross body tacking, see OJ on latter and Moten on former.
With Fletcher piling on happens.

But I mean, the OL and struggling and the defense is on more and their feeding Toney a lot.

Or their CB1 is pretty good. Two things can be true. We did scheme him open once on the bunch formation left, iso right. He caught that ball but the CB tackled him immediately. When we ran that play with Zay it was 15+ yards every time. Just follow what LuCane is saying. He’s not a 1:1 buster. They will figure it out tho.

Or turf could have something to do with it. Not a coincidence all this happened last night. Players hate playing on that garbage.
