Losing Recruits

I keep reading that recruits are dropping like flies. We can only offer 25 scholarships per year, I believe, according to NCAA rules. What's the best way to use our offers? Do we look for 2 or 3 star candidates to offer, or look primarily for transfers or community college players?

You can offer as many as you want, you just can only sign 25 in a class (though 3 can potentially count towards last year's class if they early enroll and you had space left).

I think you always have to try and strike a balance between offering the big dogs, finding other guys in the middle if you strike out on the big ones, and then trying to land some JUCOs or transfers.

Or if you are Alabama you just sign 25 four and five stars every single year.
