Losing in winning? (Miami-Vatech thoughts)

Beck could have passed for 500 in this game but yet again Mario packed it in with a 3 score lead. Then it got a little too close so we decided to go for the kill that last play. We also were rotating in young defensive players early 3rd quarter.

We will see how the committee ranks us. On to Pitt. None of this means anything if we lay an egg next week.

The only way to put the integrity back in the game and put the refs in their place is to ban gambling. Gambling in bed with sports and politically protected is the ruination of sport. Bet on it.

Agree to a point, but why is it only Miami who has to "handle business"? Especially when one of the wins is against a team with the same number of losses as Miami and Miami has beaten head-to-head, yet is 4 spots ahead of Miami?
Trust me I get frustrated wondering the same thing. I love watching college football and week to week I’ve yet to come across a perfect team. But yet we get graded so hard and they tend to keep these teams ranked just because of conference affiliation. Mizzou and Tenn are no better than SMU or Louisville. Yet they’ve stayed in the top 25 with similar records. Smh

Yep, college football is quickly devolving into a pile of ****. But my question has more to do with being behind Utah and ND.

Mario’s conservatism cooked our season today, imo.
Miami does not have a talent problem. It has a serious philosophy problem. Our long, slow and not explosive offense has become the identity and it is the common denominator issue with the season. It’s very frustrating considering the amount of talent on this roster.

Meanwhile, ND, Vandy, Bama, etc are all winning their games convincingly.

We need better RBs. Pringle, Fletch, Brown are complimentary pieces not starters on a championship team

Bain has 3 sacks on the season. That’s not it for a guy who is supposed to be the best player. Miss me with that holding ish

Game shouldn’t have been that close

Offense did the part for the most p

Bain is literally held on 70% of his pass rushes. He is the highest graded Edge in the Country and his play this season has him pegged to be a top 10 pick. While he only has three sacks he has disrupted dozens of plays. What more do you want?

Yall keep hiding behind this holding narrative. He has not performed like a top pass rusher this year. **** even in the sun game he hasn’t played like a Top 10 pick. You can go long periods of games and not even hear his name on plays

I don’t know why that concept is so hard for our fans to understand. The less opportunities the more you have to play perfect because it allows bad teams to hang around, as we saw today. We have a huge talent advantage over every ACC team yet we play slow and scared. We can get away with it against 3 win teams but against the Pitts, GTs, LVilles, and SMUs it’s a battle. All we have to do is play faster and get more chances. Not rocket science.

I'm not sure what you're watching. He has lived in the backfield all year. His pass rush win rate has to be top 5 in the nation.

This isn't PlayStation with you controlling the defensive end getting to the backfield every down.

They had to rotate guys in. The defense was on the field a lot and there are a lot of guys out with injuries.

They didnt slow the offense down. Stupid penalties on the OL once again affected two of our possessions.

On the opening drive of second half we to rotate? Lol

Also, we started with that dink and dunk **** in the second half and stopped throwing it down field.
