Has long had devastating consequences within the same season. I feel that recruits and fans often think outside of higher ranked/profile opponents like last night, Miami should always run the table. Problem is short of beating everyone who people know about, Miami recruits jump ship. Coaches here can’t build Improve incrementally. Manny won 6 games last year but if he wins 8 this year most of you ( myself included) would say “everything besides Clemson is unacceptable!” Manny has his flaws mostly in preparation and who he trusts to be on the field doesn’t always make sense. I think you gotta wait for the season to end to judge his capabilities. He made every off-season change we wanted except for Baker but I thought the defense hustled and played reasonably well last night. this game was a measuring stick but it shouldn’t decide his fate

We hustled on defense alright. Hustled to allowing 42 points and 500 offensive yards

I agree. 300 yards at the half is unacceptable regardless who we play. However, not to be excusatory but the offense did not help, Defense is going to be tired if they only get a 3 and outs to rest. Terrible game planning. OP is correct, this is an issue from a culture aspect and has been going back to golden. What really perplexed me was after the offsides penalty on Roche, they just looked like they already lost.

We also put the offense in position
To put us within one score, how’d that work out?!
42-17 is how it worked out.

Look the Miami offense is a gigantic part to blame. I just can’t excuse that **** poor excuse of a defense.

We got some solid kids there too! But it’s been bad all season if we are being honest. The offense has had their first game under 30 points.

Yes our field presence was off, and that was all about coaching and gameplanning. Our players played stiff as if they had every thing to lose.

Our coaches are having a problem communicating and teaching the ability to have laser beam focus while also playing loose and downhill. That’s what you see from Clemson’s players and they get that from the belief in their leadership/coaching. We were reading and reacting all game. We dictated nothing.

Kids don’t jump ship becuase we are losing big games. Kids jump ship becuase we are .500 every other year and haven’t had great recruiters.

believe the whole season is a referendum on CMD as an HC. he has massive issues with preparation with by weeks 0-4.
now he has to rally the team against 2 very good HC's Narduzzi and Mendenhall . 2 wins here would boost his stock and show development as an HC. BTW good call on CMD and trust...... still scratch my head at at some of his "guys" A.Carter comes to mind.CMD needs to do a toal reevaluation of D staff,,,, he needs to get an LB coach and need to play the younger, faster guys
Brooks for 1 ..... we will see at he end of the year and if this administration and BOT is warming CMDs seat.Blake james belongs on hot seat as well . His LAZY decision on CMD and paying 4.0m$ to Temple was a travesty we were flush with cash and spent a boatload of money on a guy with no experience as an HC......CMD is basically OJT as a head coach
