Loser of the UM-FSU…

Could be out of the ACC championship game, even if they run the table afterwards. See the attached schedule below for reasoning (But **** the ACC)

The implications of the result next Saturday rivals the days of old….when the winner of this game typically went on to play for a national championship.

Gentleman, it’s time to go to war. I’m talking Andrew Jackson style against the Noles. **** them.
Scenario:

Miami wins vs FSU, runs the table and goes to ACCCG
GT runs the table and they play Miami in the ACCCG
FSU loses to Miami but runs the table.

ACC will have three teams in the CFP

FSU says hello at 13-0.

Dont think for a second that the acc gets 3 if there are a bunch of 10-2 sec/b1g teams.

My actual point, 11-1 fsu, 13-0 mia in. GT at 11-2 isn’t in.
There were only 4 teams in the playoffs that year, and without Travis FSU sucked

I meant it from it being a true gauge of the best 2 teams in the conference. For example, if GT goes undefeated (conference schedule is weak) and so do FSU and Miami. The looser of the game misses the conference championship. But how can you prove the GT was better than the looser? When teams are not playing the same teams and these conferences get so big, it gets harder to use W/L in conference to justify the conference championship game.

Obviously, winning it matters to get to the playoffs. But there is a scenario where looser of the FSU/Miami is 11-1 and doesn’t make the ACCCG. But they are likely playoff bound. So what value does the Confrence Championship hold then? All I’m saying

Even if the conferences were split into divisions you still have that problem. For years the best two teams in the ACC were Clemson and FSU they were in the same division and the loser of that game missed the conference championship

A lot of ball left to be played. I dont see the FSU running the table. Wouldn't be surprised if GT dropped one. ****, I'm not even 100% sure we run the table.

11-1 gets us into the Playoff, I'm not sure why people would try to convince themselves otherwise.

That being said, it's long, long overdue for us to win the ACC so let's just do that and erase any debate.

Let’s go a stretch further and say the ACC technically could get 4 teams in (possibly)

- Georgia Tech wins out 12-1 loses in title game
- FSU 11-1 (loss to Miami)
- Miami 11-1 (loss to Louisville)
- Louisville 13-0 (Wins Acc)

If this wacky scenario unfolded I can’t imagine any of them get left out.
