Loser of the UM-FSU…

I know people don't like talking about a "must win game" this early, but I think FSU is a must win to have an inside track to ACCG and CFP. GT, FSU and Miami all have pretty easy conference games the rest of the way.

We've have the toughest remaining road of the three. Road games at SMU, VT, and Pitt will not be easy.

its FSU. its always a must win. further, we dont get the same level of mulligan that the SEC and B10 do. we wasted the best QB in the country last year. lets not waste the best defense and best OL in the country this year. lets bring number 7 home.

It's 100% a must-win. There's no reason to say otherwise.

We have no business losing to FSU. I know they are a rival and we are playing them at Trailerhassee, but they are extremely thin at almost every position. They caught Bama sleeping which they are still not the same Bama of old. Bama is 7-5 in their last 12 games. In addition, Bama has turned extremely pass happy. We are not the same team or play the same type of game like them at all.

We are more talented than FSU on both lines of scrimmage by a lot. We ran all over their *** last year for 230 yards. We are a season more experienced and better on OL this year. I don't see their DL being as good as it was last year. Bama abandoned the run against FSU. We won't. Go look at Bama rushing against a ****** Wisconsin team. They couldn't run on them either.

FSU has played basically two high school teams since they played Bama. We'll know a lot more about them come Friday, but if Mario keeps our guys focused over the bye week and we play with same fire as we have since the start of the season we'll be fine.
Good points about Bama. They are not the juggernaut people still make them out to be. Good win for FSU for sure, but they didn't beat a Bama squad anywhere like the 2020 version like some would like to believe. I would even add that out of those 7 wins for Bama, only 2 of those came against decent teams. The LSU and Mizzou games last year. Neither LSU nor Mizzou were great, but they were above average.

Also, in the Mizzou game, Mizzou's starting qb (Cook) gets hurt in early in the 2nd qtr. Bama is winning 3-0 at the time, but is struggling. Mizzou's new qb (Pyne) comes in and immediately throws an int. He ends up throwing 3 total ints and was totally ineffective and Bama boat races them. I'm not saying Mizzou wins that game if Cook doesn't get hurt, but the game probably goes down to the wire.

Back to your point, I do think we will get a better picture on FSU come this Friday.

if FSU beats MIA, loses to GT: GT/fsu in championship with MIA potentially at 11-1. GT wins, fsu is 11-2. FSU wins GT is 11-2. Cfp likely takes 11-1 mia over 11-2 loser.

If Mia beats FSU, who cares so long as we don’t drop 2 in the back 7.
Need Tech to lose in Champ game.

It did...

and what has been stated repeatedly and messaged by power brokers is SMU's and Boise's losses have put a big damper on future ACC runner-ups selection and G5's seeding (already changed)...

That's the point...its already being messaged to everyone...do "they" have the stones to put in a 2/3 loss SEC/B1G team (Kiffin has said they better) over even a 1-loss ACC runner up? "They" can make all kinds of justifications and what will people do?

Complain on social media like FSU? Make flames and threats (🤣🤣🤣 my favorite) on message boards?

That turned out to be a brilliant campaign plan...very effective.

Now, Miami right now is a media darling. "Best this, best that"...its great to see and well deserved. Would be even nice it translates into political capital for an at-large bid, would be even better our Canes just win out and kick the ******* door down and don't need any help whatsoever.
Look no further than ESPN’s FPI rankings. They’ll make it fit if they want.

Could be out of the ACC championship game, even if they run the table afterwards. See the attached schedule below for reasoning (But **** the ACC)

The implications of the result next Saturday rivals the days of old….when the winner of this game typically went on to play for a national championship.

Gentleman, it’s time to go to war. I’m talking Andrew Jackson style against the Noles. **** them.
Barring injuries, GT likely favored in every ACC contest.

Their W/L to Jawga meaningless to ACCCG aspirations.

Take Miami game off the table for a moment, current "vibe" for FSU likely has them favored in every ACC contest.

I suppose from a media perspective, IF FSU goes into game against our Canes undefeated, sets the narrative of higher stakes for winner or loser as "must watch tv".

We say this year after year (its ******* tiresome), Miami must control its own destiny by winning out.
The loser of this game playoff run starts immediately . Good chance they will have to win out to get to the champ game. Two conf loses probably will not get you there. But hey its the awful ACC.

Since we're throwing **** at the wall, check this out.

There is a scenario where we beat FSU three times in one season.

First time - a week from Saturday in Tallahassee. This will be a beatdown.

Second time - ACC Championship. Supposing FSU wins every other ACC game after getting destroyed by us the first time. FSU loses again to us in Charlotte.

Third time - Second round of the CFP playoffs. Miami makes it in with a BYE, FSU sneaks in as the 2nd ACC team and wins their first round game. Miami destroys FSU yet again, ending their season.
