Looks likely our OB opponent will be wisky.....

I prefer OSU so we can avenge 2003. I'm over Bama from the early 90's. Stadium will be rocking either way and it will be a fun way to end the season.

Would prefer OSU. We aren't on Bama's level on the OL, and DL. They will destroy us.

I thought the highest ranking B1G team not in the playoff would play in the Fiesta vs. the Pac-12 champ? That would mean if Bama gets in the playoff, Taint goes to the Fiesta and we get Wisky.

Now if Taint gets into the playoff, we'd get Bama, no?

Lol you can definitely count out Wisconsin. The OB must take the highest ranked ACC team then the highest ranked SEC/B1G team. Wisconsin will not be ranked above either of those schools.

Yes, it looks like wisky is in the mix also and probably over taint.

Incorrect. Would be the case if it were the Rose Bowl. Fiesta Bowl has no obligation to any conference. Orange Bowl gets first pick and must take highest sec/B1G/ND ranked team.

EDIT: I am wrong and a dumba$$

This is the exact reason I think Bama gets in over Ohio State.

Ohio State v. USC is a better game than Wisconsin v. USC.

And with the OB being a home game for Miami, Wisconsin would make for a “winnable” match-up.

I’d still prefer to play Ohio State, but I like your explanation.

We will not play osu regardless. CFP selection process mandates that we play the highest ranked BIG10 or SEC team that is not in the CFP and that is NOT A CONFERENCE CHAMPION. Osu won their conf championship, so they cannot play in the Orange Bowl. If Bama makes the playoff, we would face Wisky or Auburn—whoever is ranked higher.

Home crowd/stadium should help get the team some of it’s mojo back. A months rest will do us some good, because I think the team is shot. But I don’t think it ends well, no matter who we play.

It’s Wisky or Bama. If we get Bama, don’t be so sure they beat us. They played a very disinterested game against OU a couple of years ago and they were favored by a lot. If it’s not the playoffs, they may just give a mediocre performance

Then give me Wisconsin.

"The Orange Bowl is filled with an ACC representative and the highest ranked non champion from the SEC and the Big Ten or Notre Dame after the CFP semifinal games have been filled".

I imagine that they will probably find a way for Bama to get in.
That would leave osu or wisky. I hope for wisky
