Korey Foreman, #1 ranked recruit in 2020 class, committed to Clemson in January....

Players know full well the rule before they commit and the Tigers have been fine with players taking all the trips they want prior to making a decision. Once you commit however, you’re asked to essentially shut your recruitment down and not visit any other programs.

This rule seems to be at the heart of the buzz with Korey Foreman, the No. 1 rated prospect in the 247Sports Composite. Foreman committed to the Tigers back in January during an unofficial visit. It was a huge coup for Clemson landing the nation’s top defensive prospect for the second year in a row after signing Bryan Bresee in December.

Foreman has looked rock solid to Clemson, even adding a giant Tiger tattoo on his left arm. Over the last few weeks however, there has been some smoke that Foreman was softening on his commitment and over the weekend, he removed all signs of Clemson from his social media.

From talking to a couple of people close to Foreman earlier today, it sounds like Foreman wants to take a few official visits and Clemson is holding fast to their no-trip policy. Basically, if Foreman wants to take his visits, he will need to de-commit from Clemson and it sounds like that’s exactly where this recruitment is headed.

Now if Foreman does de-commit from Clemson, we’re hearing the Tigers still plan to recruit him heavily and basically start his recruitment over from scratch. Foreman committed to the Tigers for a lot of reasons- relationship with the coaching staff, development along the defensive line and opportunity to compete for Championships and all of those are still obviously in place .

Clemson's last decommit was in December 2016..

Lots of rumor that his trainer is getting a lot of pressure from USC to steer him their way. (and maybe being rewarded for doing so...) Supposedly the trainer is behind the sudden interest in taking his visits... Foreman also works out with two good friends who are committed to USC..

Looks like the affects of COVID-19 will touch even Dabo...

What does COVID-19 have to do with it? He just wants to “enjoy the process”.

Theory on clemson board is kid is spending more time with the trainer and the other two kids than he would have if not for the quarantine. More time for the trainer to "work" him on taking visits..

USC went from having the 55th ranked class for 2020 to having the current 5th ranked class for 2021.

New AD supporting the program. More support staff hired. Helton "encouraged" to let his defensive staff go and he has now surrounded himself with better recruiters who are connecting with kids. They have a few local studs committed and a few more very interested. Garcia recruiting hard for Helton behind the scenes..

OK, he's the #1 kid, but if you do this, you might as well scrap your "rule":

Now if Foreman does de-commit from Clemson, we’re hearing the Tigers still plan to recruit him heavily and basically start his recruitment over from scratch.

Dabo: "Now take your time, take your visits, and be sure. Because if you commit to us we commit to you and that's it. Oh, unless you are high profile and decommit, then we'll just start sucking your d**** all over again. With your permission of course."

Well Dabo, put your money where your mouth is. If this kid takes other visits, they should rescind his offer. Otherwise the whole "once you commit, you have to shut down your recruitment" rule is just lip service. Oh, no if you take other visits, they won't consider you committed anymore? BFD. They'll still be on their knees blow...I mean begging him to sign on signing day.

Plus they’re coming off of a good season. They are pushing the hometown angle on a lot of SoCal kids and it’s paying off actually
