Looks like Blake James spoke with a few press members today

You know what? Well done Ferman, actually doing something positive. Twisting it so it reads Blake embarrassed manny with that press conference is perfect, makes it sound extremely toxic (which we know the university is right now, but anyways)… kudos sir.

James: “When you look at Year One obviously there were some real challenges in Manny’s head coaching. He would acknowledge that. It was a tough finish for us with the three losses to end the season.
Why were there challenges Blake? You didn't even fire his predecessor, he resigned. Which is to say you were happy with the state of the program. So if you were happy with the program why would there have been challenges?

Oh that's right, because you hired a woefully under-qualified man that no one was asking for that clearly was and still is overwhelmed at the position.

My god Blake, even with hindsight your logic is a ******* embarrassment.

For one, I agree with the criticism of Blake and he needs to go. For once he gets a championship caliber coach and he can't seem to support him. I think bringing in a new AD and giving Manny more control over the athletic budget would do wonders for the team.
wwe congrats GIF

Another loss tonight coupled with a recruiting class ranked 60th in the country, decommits being a thing, and no immediate commits on the horizon…pressure is mounting.

2-5 record going into a game against heisman candidate Kenny Pickett…I’m thinking Blake scapegoats Manny hoping to save his job.

From the ESPN interview:

James also would not say whether he would make any in-season coaching changes.

"It's too hard to look into the future," James said. "I don't know what's going to happen, again. I think everyone's constantly being evaluated, and you make the decisions that you feel are best for the program."

"There's a lot of things that go into evaluating, where are we with the team, the development, the growth, what are we seeing from the young people in the program, what are we doing in recruiting?" James said. "There's a laundry list of things that's part of the evaluation. Winning's right at the top. And that's something that's always going to be something that we have to evaluate in our programs here at the University of Miami, and right now, we're not winning enough."

"We're committed to winning as an institution," he said. "So whatever that means it's going to take, I have full confidence that's the step our institution is going to take. Whether that's from a financial decision on coaching salaries to financial decisions on what we need to do [to] operate as a program again, the institution is very committed to seeing this athletics program succeed at the highest level, and they're committed to doing what it takes to compete with the very best."

What a bunch of political horse ****. Notice how he said “committed” like a dozen times…

“Oh look how committed we are. We’re so committed. Right Herbie?”

Meanwhile NOTHING has actually been done. Just all garbage political talk.

I almost gagged on this ****…”you make the decisions that you feel are best for the program."

Well no **** buddy. Way to say nothing while saying something.

Blake is 100% correct in this statement.

What he may or may not realize is that one of the primary steps is to fire his non-performing ***.

Nothing personal, he’s an absolute non-performer. Should have been fired several years ago but better late than never.

You fire people for non-performance, firing Manny is a no-brainer, Blake may not realize that firing him is a no-brainer also.

I really loathe comments like this...

You always are what your record says you are. Always. Saying otherwise is some beta ****.

I mean honestly, what else do you expect the incompetent moron to say? He doesn’t have a clue what to do or how to fix it so he is just deflecting to make himself look better.

Nothing. Say nothing.

He put together some limited engagement "press conference" or interview period with the same stooges that have been around the program for like 20+ years with some softball questions and even worse responses. Tim Reynolds and Susan MIller Degnan among other dummies that haven't said an ill word about Miami their entire time covering the University because they aren't actual journalists, they are low-paid propagandist clowns.

He knows he is tied to this jabrone and he knows its over. Shut the fvck up.

IMO - not a good sign that Blake had a presser. That means he may still have some control over the situation. He needs to go before Manny this time.
I didn't read it that way at all. Blake has been completely reclusive for nearly six weeks - no posts on social, interviews (save for the obligatory, canned one he gave ACC Network), etc. He was publicly called out by Barry Jackson for not granting local media requests so this was an opportunity for him to try to save face and pander to the powers that be now that Manny is on the hot seat.
