Coaching Looks are Deceiving....

You look at this Guy (The GOAT UM DC Sonny Lubick)....and it's hard to imagine he was the Architect of the Greatest 5yr CFB Defensive runs in the last 35+ yrs. His Defenses were/are the epitome of how UM Defense should be played. One of my favorite UM Coaches ever.

I don’t think he could have done what Butch did, but man I loved his defenses.

Great run and loved the way those teams play but need to adapt for the ways offenses play now.

I think the Canes of that era could have easily adjusted their defensive scheme to thwart today's type of offenses. It's ALL in the players and those teams definitely had players.
