Looking ahead to Ohio state

Pressure. The. Quarterback.

That is priority No. 1. Sayin had happy feet and got rattled against Indiana's pass rush. I love our secondary, but matching up with Smith and Tate will be nearly impossible for any defense in America. We have to get after the QB and force him into a couple of mistakes. I think we have to keep them under 20 points.

Fortunately, we have the monsters up front to do just that.

This. Sayin has had a phenomenal year but he's still a first year starter (RSFR). I believe he can get rattled. Also, OSU's OL is their "weakest" position group. I say "weakest" because they are still very talented but I think they're vulnerable with our guys. ATM has a better OL.

They are very strong in their back 7. They have 2 first round LBs and an absolute eraser at safety. Don't know much about their CBs.

Although Smith and Tate are stars, I think we can match up decently. We have a lot of skill, depth and speed at CB.

Their TE is very good.

going to be a low scoring game - 21-17 type of game.

With the two styles of these teams there's likely not going to be a blowout unless there's multiple turnovers or special teams mistakes. They played 6 teams with winning records and 5 of them were close in the second half.

Texas 14-7 win
Washington 14-6 late into the 4th
Illinois 20-10 late in the 3rd
Penn State 17-14 at half
Michigan 17-9 at the half
Indiana 10-13 loss

I don't think Miami deserves to be any less than a 6 point underdog but Ohio State carries the same risk Miami does. Because the games can be close you're susceptible to a major mistake being very impactful.

I am going to try and look at game tape by Weds. I already know we aren't out scheming Patricia or Day (Hartline) on either side of the ball. Miami has to win this game with bully ball. How they have won every big game early in the season and last Sat. This will be a tough game. Hopefully, I see some tendencies we will be able to take advantage of. For certain, we have to get to Saying and I think we can contain their rushing game.

You have to keep the pressure on OSU...

They thrive off weak Offensive play and teams imploding Defensively...

If you stay resilient and make OSU beat you like Indiana did (and we did against a&m WE WIN)...

*Caveat though is our Offensive game plan cannot resemble a&m game plan by force feeding Mali...

Game probably comes down to Beck which doesn’t fill me with a lot of confidence. OSU will probably sell out to stop the run game and put it in his hands. He doesn’t seem like a dude comfortable in that position.
