Looking ahead a bit, on the bright side...

with the emergence of 'the Lackawanna Kid' Colbie Young, Im looking forward to seeing him, Jacolby George and X, in the WR rotation, with Brashard Smith (who's coming on), and with Skinner at TE being worked in more. I'd like to see what this passing attack looks like in November. As for the (lack of) running game, honestly, I dont think that gets solved until some of our blue-chip lineman get on campus next year. First thing Mirabel has to work on is getting the snaps off on time, in sync with the rest of our Oline line. Jackai Clark was really missed.

Yeah, yesterday was a slog, but there is a bright side to some of this.

Just gotta keep stacking wins vs very beatable ACC teams and create some momentum. Wins are wins. Yesterday reminded me of that line from the great boxing trainer, George Benton, during a tough fight, 'Hey kid, win tonight, lets look good the next time."

- BTW, do you believe in Hendon Heisman, now? How 'bout dem Vols...
Good, helpful observations on your part.

One-game seasons for the rest of the year. Just win, baby. There are no corners turned as each new week will have its own problems. Yesterday it was penalties and an inability to run the ball. Next week, it'll be slowing down a spirited little Duke offense and getting out the gates fast. From there, conquering Charlottesville—always a tough out, even when the Hoos suck. From there, the game of the year with Florida State, then Georgia Tech, then Clemson, then Pittsburgh.

Receivers are making plays, though it took six games to get there. All the pre-season struggles were real, but with time and reps, guys are making themselves known. No way that could've been fast-tracked at College Station. Everything takes time.

Really want to see a cleaner game next week and coaches all over these kids in practice to fix sloppy mistakes. Get this thing to 4-3 and forge ahead.

Getting weapons back can help but im still not completely sold on this offense, i like that gattis adjusted even if it were late but its insane that we can’t produce more big plays or points. Like alot of the big plays are just tvd ripping it to seams or 50/50 go balls, it’s insane i see teams all week with lesser talent than us get easy big plays but we still having trouble vs bad defenses
My two cents says the lack speed on the WR side, creativity on the OC’s part are creating this collapsing field of play. Both are solvable off season.

Bruh what speed did we have last year? We’ve seen players get schemed wide open before for tds and big plays speed isn’t everything.
I get that, but wherein Lies the problem then? How do you solve this?

That’s a shame about Zion if true. He will be another in a long line of 4th round or later guys…if lucky. That’s why I’m rooting for Tyrique to get healthy, finish strong and test great. We will have that to use for guys who get so so feed back.

When are X, George, and Chaney supposed to be back? Also if Zion is basically just sitting out to get ready for the draft, then lol. Some analysts had him projected as a 1st round pick with continued growth this season. That clearly hasn’t happened so he wouldn’t going anywhere near the 1st. 2nd and 3rd is even pushing it. kid needed consistent film and the only thing he’s consistently done this season is miss time.

When are George and X expected back?

Personally I think Colbie Young’s money position is as a hybrid linebacker/edge rusher.

That way he can be Colbie Jack.

Sorry. That was cheesy.

Not a good look for Zion if true. Are we sure its true or is it based more on opinion? Would hate for such a thing to be attached to the young man if there is more to it than that.
